Moonshine Tulum Hotel & Hostel

If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay in a good location, this place will do. The only thing is, the dorm door is left open (not just closed without a lock, literally propped open) 24/7… got eaten alive by mosquitos and definitely didn’t feel that safe as a solo female traveler because of this. However, it’s a cheap place to sleep, the staff are really kind, and let me switch beds because the fan in my 1st bed didn’t work. Wouldn’t stay here again though.

Stay for the bed, if nothing else. Possibly the most comfortable hostel bed I’ve slept in, and the personal fan and black out curtains make it a real luxury. Dorm door didn’t have a lock (or close) but the front desk is manned 24/7 so it felt secure. General cleanliness was okay overall, and the shower was nice but there was no hooks or place to put soap or clothes. Also only one toilet/shower for the room was tough. Overall great stay, would recommend for easy downtown/nightlife access

The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hostel,bed light,curtains,bed fan,lockers, 24hr reception and the staff are so helpful and happy. One street back from Tullum central so lovely and quiet. Amazing long pool on the rooftop with view, fridge freezer, fridge for liquids, full kitchen with plenty of pans, utensils,hobs , microwave etc. Sunbeds and tables and chairs on the rooftop. The cleaners clean every day. I feel so comfortable here I keep extending.
