MEININGER Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean

Hostel location is good for flixbus and train station but far from anything else.If want to spend time in city, dont stay here. Stayed here 2 times. First time was not good as bed I was in was basically a double bed I shared with a random person also in the room. Second time was much better as had a bottom bunk so bit more own space. Decent kitchen, wifi fine and security to rooms etc good. Bar wasnt open when I was there and lots of school groups.

sleep, don't stay here. Booked solo ensuite for 3 nights. Each night from 20:00 - 24:00 teens would run up and down the halls, yelling, slamming doors, knocking on walls and running in and out of various rooms. Because you can't call to reception, I had to get redressed, hike it downstairs to file a complaint. Staff would tell security to address it. Teens would settle for a bit, then be right back at it. NOT RECOMMENDED if you wish to have a good nights sleep.

The hostel is located ca.15 minutes away from the city centre by bus, tram and bus stations are nearby. Very clean and quiet place, helpful and kind staff.
