The Upcycled Hostel

Really loved this hostel but important to know that it’s about 15 mins outside of central huacachina whilst there are others that are a fair bit closer. Wasn’t an issue for us though as we loved the hostel… staff were really friendly and helpful, rooms were nice and clean, shower was really warm etc. they also serve food at the hostel which was decently priced with some pretty good vegan/vegetarian options.

This hostel is wonderful. It is an independently run by a family. Everything is recycled, there was no plastic anywhere! The beds were comfy and the showers were hot. There is a lovely pool too! I think this is the kind of hostel we should be supporting as it is independent and run by local people. You can easily walk from huacachina or get a tuktuk if it’s dark. I’m vegan, and the lady that runs the hostel made me food at the restaurant that I could eat and it was really yummy!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in South America! Chill vibes, with relaxing atmosphere! Not a party hostel, which is nice to still get rest, while exploring Huacachina, or Inca. Ten minute walk to the Oasis, fifteen minutes to restaurant or grocery store in Inca. shaded, outdoor spaces for relaxing or working, or dip in the pool. Not busy while there,still people to socialize with. Would return and recommend! Checked in early, and stayed in seating till night bus. Hot water shower :)
