【Kyoto City Accommodation Tax】
Starting from March 1, 2026, the Kyoto City Accommodation Tax will be revised in accordance with the Kyoto City ordinance.
The tax amount is calculated based on the Room Charge (per person per night, before tax and excluding meals)
Please pay at the lodging facility which you are staying.

For accommodations before and on February 28, 2026
・Room rate less than ¥20,000: ¥200

For accommodations on and after March 1, 2026
・Room rate less than ¥6,000: ¥200
・Room rate from ¥6,000 to ¥19,999: ¥400
・Room rate from ¥20,000 to ¥49,999: ¥1,000

【Other Facility Informations】
1. Reception hours: from 8:00-18:00.
2. Check-in time: from 14:00 to 18:00 (Please notify us for: luggage storage before check-in, and check-in's after 18:00)
3. Check-out time: by 10:00
4. Breakfast is optional for 700JPY.
5. Payment: cash (JPY) or credit cards (Visa, Master, and Amex)
6. Consumption Tax (VAT) is included. Kyoto City Accommodation Tax is not included.
7. Cancellation policy: 1 day prior to check-in: 50% / Check-in-day and NO SHOW: 100%.
8. No smoking inside the facility (smoking area by the 1st floor entrance)
9. Age restriction: 7 years or older (due to the facility having no strong sound insulation)
10. Pets are not allowed.

Beautiful property, would stay here again in a heartbeat! We loved the cafe and the cool vibe. There were some negative reviews about how loud the door locks are - I wasn't bothered by them at all and I tend to be a light sleeper. The only complaint we had was that it got hot and stuffy at night, but this is a problem with every capsule style hostel I've stayed at so it was expected.

The washrooms were clean, the room was small and had a slight odour but you could open a window for ventilation. The staff is really friendly and helpful, you can store your luggage before and after check in & check out — free of cost. The hostel has multiple bus stops nearby.
