Not really bad but not really as the pictures make you believe. Aircon worked well bed was comfy and plenty of locker space but the entire place has no hospitable feeling. Everything is very small and crampt together. On top of that the location is very central but sketchy. That is a general problem of the city and the state of Sabah though.

The staff are especially nice, there was a problem with the electricity so I was upgraded for free to the fancier Signel down the road. Other than that the accommodation is simple but functional
