The ladies only room smelled of sewage. Had to hold my breath each use, I almost puked. On my first night a cat popped up from the ceiling & fell on my bed. Then when it rained since I was on the top bunk near the window I felt all the droplets, woke up damp, plus there was no air conditioning. There was no room to change so I had to get dressed inside the shower. & the towel that they gave me was crunchy, bed sheets were scratchy. This place just needs an update really.

Martin was a very friendly staff member who was very helpful every day. this hostel is safe as it has locked doors with electronic fobs. the location is perfect it is walking distance to the beach. the beds were clean and the room was cleaned every day . the shared kitchen was nice. they could do with upgrading the showers as they were basic however overall this is great value for money to stay in punta Cana . the hostel also offered to drive me home to the airport. I would strongly recommend !
