Lovely family and beautiful old house in a quiet neighborhood. Bed was super comfortable, air con worked great and cool shower worked well. Kitchen is usable but a bit rustic. It's at least a 30 minute walk to Centro though, which was interesting the first time but not conducive to spending time there so we changed hostels the next night to be closer to sights, restaurants and activities. Cabs are relatively affordable though so if you want a quiet spot to sleep this might suit you.

I had a very beautiful stay at Tia chela hostel. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room impeccable clean, and quiet neighbourhood,a little bit out from the center. I highly recommend. Thank you.
