Playa Del Ritmo was a vibe. The bar and restaurant made the experience. The staff was extremely friendly and very patient given our novice Spanish language skills. Being directly on the beach made it so easy to enjoy and they also offer free chairs for hostel guests. There wasn’t much of an international traveler presence and did seem to cater mostly to locals. The facilities were bare and could use some updating, but with the right expectations this was a good, affordable stay.

Everything was excellent! Very hot—we didn't book a room with AC but we will next time. We had a really nice stay. It's south of Santa Marta, but we enjoyed the easy access to the beach/a quieter pace than many hostels in the city would have afforded us. The breakfast was great. Staff really kind. Definitely will return!
