I really loved this place. I heard that you could swim here but when I arrived I couldn't believe how nice it was with a waterfront garden/cafe/restaurant with shisha, a firepit. Grilled chicken with bread salad and fries for 100EGP, shisha for cheap, kayaks 100EGP per hour and I met a lot of lovely people sat round the fire at night. Facilities fairly basic but comfortable. Bit out of town but it's peaceful away from chaos. We always used InDrive, 40-50EGP to the centre v easy.

Super hostel with a spectacular view of the Nile. The location is a bit strange, which can feel uncomfortable when walking alone in the dark. Unfortunately, the staff wasn’t helpful—they couldn’t give us tips and spoke broken English, which was disappointing. As for the blankets, there were just two thin fleece blankets, which felt odd. There were too few showers and toilets, and they were always occupied. The hostel didn’t really foster any sense of community; vibe was a but off and solo.
