Originally I planned to stay at Blue Lake Hostel for 3 nights, but ended up staying longer as a volunteer because I liked it so much! Vesna and Nino are so sweet and will help you find the best spots and restaurants, and the regular guests will help you out too. All the people I met were so social and keen to make friends which added to the vibes ✨. I loved being able to walk to the lake, and the hostels boat tour is really fun too! I def recommend staying here!!!! 😁😁

Blue Lake Hostel is genuinely one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The location, facilities, amenities and surroundings are incredible, but what really makes it special are the people. Vesna and Nino are the most amazing hosts — incredibly warm, generous and attentive, and they make you feel completely looked after from the moment you arrive. The whole place has a brilliant atmosphere, and the staff are fantastic. If you’re staying in Ohrid, this is the place to stay…absolutely phenomenal.

Originally booked for 3 nights but had to stay longer. Ended up staying a week (would have been longer but had to go to Greece). Nino and Vesna are some of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met and the vibe of this place is unlike anywhere I’ve stayed before. It just feels safe and is a very comforting place to relax and unwind. 100% recommend I know I’ll definitely be back. Thankyou Nino and Vesna and eveeyone I met for making my stay so good.
