Absolutely fantastic hostel in Montevideo. The house itself is very charming (my private room had stained glass windows!) and the location is perfect. It’s right by Parque Rodo and there are plenty of bus lines to get you anywhere in the city. I spent a week here and could have stayed another. The best part is the staff. They are WONDERFUL. So kind, so welcoming. Emil, the hostel dog, does most of the work and is always happy to greet you. Thank you!

Great place to chill. Location was good right near the park. Easy to get an Uber around. Bus stops outside hut i didn't use. The tours i did pick up on the same road. I had a private room bit noisey from road traffic as the building is on the corner.of two main roads. The building is old and characterful. Kitchen was small. I didn't use it but many people did. You can be sociable or not. I am not so it was perfect for me, a nice, calm stay. Id recommend if you are looking for that sort of vibe.
