Met some of the best people here in Matcha! Definitely my go-to hostel whenever I’m on the island. The location is perfect, super accessible, and the staff are all so helpful and welcoming. They also have frequent events, which makes it so easy to meet fellow travelers, make new friends, and just have a good time! Shoutout to Kael, Ate Angel, Cherry, and Kuya Jonard!! Y’all are the best! ♡

kept extending because met an amazing group of people from the shared table! the hostel crew cooked the local dish kinilaw(?) and very much enjoyed the trivia night and of course - the free food haha

It was my first time staying in a hostel, and Matcha definitely didn’t disappoint. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the showers were always clean, and the two morning staff members were so friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. They made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Siargao!
