Gîte la Montagne is located in the heart of the woods, 5 minutes from the centre of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.

The hostel offers shared accommodation with free parking and a large green area. There is also a kitchen with all utensils.

Gîte la Montagne - Terms & Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 5 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check in from 17:00 to 22:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .

Payment upon arrival by cash only.

There was no breakfast nor a great place for clients to hang out. The restaurant in front was very nice but expensive for hostel clients and the diners are not the same people staying at the hostel. It was too far from town for any easy walk but great for a bike.

Bedbugs!!!! I left with at least 30 bed bug bites and had to wash everything in hot water. I am skeptical that they change the blankets between guests, the dorms are closed from 10h-17h without any communication as such, and the small beds without a divider means a guy’s feet were touching me all night.

BED BUGS. Left covered in bites. Nothing is washed between guests, bedding isnt even folded. This place is much filthier than any refuge i stayed at on the TMB. Do not risk staying at this place it is not worth the slight savings
