Elmar hostal offers a view of the Bacalar lagoon from the rooms and a view of the Costera from the terrace. The hostel is no more than two minutes away are the most famous piers to enter the lagoon, the most famous restaurants, cafes and bars.

really lovely property, feels like a small but fun family vibe. the staff are all incredible and join in with cooking, drinking and social events. You can use bikes for free and a free laundry service. Kitchen is well stocked, the pet dog is adorable and the space is huge. The 12 bed dorm was lovely, really well thought out design and didnt feel busy. One of the best hostels we've visited, definitely reccomend!

Wonderful hostel! Extended my stay because I felt so at home. The owner and employees are kind and helpful. The beds are comfortable and private. Included is free breakfast, bikes, kayaks, laundry, and towels. You can also borrow yoga mats to use on the balcony. Great kitchen. Wish I could have stayed longer!! The only problem is that the hostel across the street is incredibly loud at night.
