Hotel Tepepul Kaan

Spend a bit more somewhere else . I stayed in a lot of places but this is sad. The first hostel I've seen where there are no lockers.I am sharing a room with strangers without the possibility to safely store my valuable items. After asking the staff where the lockers were, they told me that lockers were too expensive and nobody ever complained about it. Hard to believe.Also the kitchen is straight up disgusting. The fridge is beyond dirty and there are all kinds of meats stored in it, uncovered.

It gets very loud here in the mornings. Roosters going right outside the window starting at at least 5:30AM, furniture moving above the room, people loudly talking. I was awake by 6:30 every morning and earplugs did not help. Other than that the place was really nice, very beautiful atmosphere. The kitchen is teeny but useable. The showers got hot but the pressure was pretty poor. It was pretty social as well. Great place, I just wouldn't come here if you are looking for a good night's sleep.

Awesome hostel, the family that runs it is so sweet and even helped us make some tortillas. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and would totally come back!!!!
