The hostel has a convenient location and a well-stocked kitchen. However, I do not recommend staying here because of serious safety problems.
On the first night, my travel partner’s hand was caught in the hinge of the exterior door. The door is very heavy and closes very quickly, but there are no warnings or safety features. The injury was serious and required a hospital visit and stitches. While helping with the bleeding, we looked for a first aid kit, but there is none in the hostel. During this time, we also saw cabinet doors fall off their hinges.
On the second night, another guest tried to use the shower in the women’s bathroom on the second floor. The shower door does not work and does not provide privacy. When she tried to move it, the door fell off and hit the floor, damaging the walls and floor. Luckily, no one was injured, but it could have caused serious harm. If someone had been hurt, there is still no first aid kit available.
These are serious safety issues, not small problems. There are broken fixtures, dangerous doors, and no basic safety equipment. I do not believe this hostel is safe, and I recommend staying somewhere else.
