Landed here after a full day of travel and staff had a room ready despite an earlier-than-expected arrival, no fuss about the timing at all. Courtyard had a small collection of dried starfruit hanging to cure, apparently a family tradition tied to the property. Weather stayed dry and warm throughout, comfortable enough that the fan barely got used at night. Stayed two nights bracketing an Ijen hike and staff handled both the before and after seamlessly, gear check the night prior and a proper rest setup waiting on return. Building had thick curtains in every room, blocked the harsh midday sun effectively. A short gust of wind rattled the window shutters one evening, harmless but noisy enough to notice. Stayed three nights recovering from a stomach bug and staff were unexpectedly attentive about it, checked in daily without being asked and pointed me toward a nearby clinic when symptoms didn't improve. Room had good ventilation, appreciated during a stretch I mostly spent resting rather than exploring. Weather swung between drizzle and full sun most days, made the view from the window at least mildly entertaining while stuck indoors. Never made it to Ijen this trip, health took priority.
