we stayed at Nafaka hostel and tours as a couple, it is located in a quiet area of Malang. Ali as well as all the staff made sure our stay was smooth, they helped us booked our transportation for our next destination, gave us good restaurant recommendation and where always there to chitchat with us about our day when we would come back. we felt incredibly welcomed and at home. room and shared spaces are brand new clean and confortable. there even is a roof top with a city view !

I stayed here for one night in a private room after doing East Java and it was perfect. I would note that the cheaper private room option doesn’t include an en-suite the description is wrong! Shared bathrooms are nice though. Felt like literally no one else was there so not at all social and in a really inconvenient location as not much around and far from the centre so wouldn’t recommend to stay long term. But really good value and was exactly what I wanted
