Hostel in Chania

This was my first hostel stop in over 20 years. The Hippie Hostel is cheap and relatively cheerful. I shared my twelve bed dorm with some much younger and lovely travellers who partied but respected the room's quietness at sleep time. The room was cramped but feasible. The showers are functional/reliable. Access is controlled and staff professional and helpful. A good location, it is embryonic and can add a little more "luxury" as time progresses. Would recommend to the adventurous young.

I arrived at 00:30. It is the Hippie Hostel. The owner was kind to wait for me to check in upon request. The beds were simple - about 10 in a small room. No room for suitcases or bags in room so I had to leave it outside the room on a luggage rack. The entrance where the luggage is stored, rooms and kitchen are secured with codes obtained at check in. The bed are organized in cubby holes so there is some privacy in the beds. There were three small bathrooms available. No problem with access.

the hostel was really disgusting. cockroaches and bedbugs. the room is too small, no space for your things and storage. the kitchen was really unhygienic and smelled really bad. it doesn't look like what it is like in the pictures, some of the staff are angry. only the man who was nice.
