Sagui Hostel

The volunteers were very friendly and welcoming at 11:30pm at night, speaking English which made the experience very smooth. However, found a single bed bug, I think, on the bed I was allocated to, so I requested to change beds. The volunteer on shift was extremely empathetic and said I could change beds and rooms. The next day I checked out and left and got 110 reais back (booked for 3 nights for around 160reais), quite reasonable. I hope the bed bugs are being cleaned with care.

There was a bit of a mix-up in that for some reason our reservation was cancelled, but we were never notified (either by them or by Hostelworld). Fortunately they had another room available and gave us a discount for the inconvenience, but still a bit odd. The people working there are pretty nice and the place itself is decent. Walls are thin, so earplugs is a good idea. Great and secure location. I think they have a graywater system for the showers, which is cool but sometimes there is flooding in the rocks because of it and it can have a mild smell to it.

In my best traveler hostel experience so far. One of my main dislike of other traveler hostels is the share kitchen area. But this one was way better organized and friendly to use. Also, there is space to organize our things side of our beds.
