Floripa Surf Hostel

Clean, nice kitchen, people were hanging out at most hours of the day and met a great crew, nice common areas. Short walk to Campeche which had fast quick waves for surfing, started with a swell and was packed later got smaller more suitable for beginners. Easy to rent a board and wetsuit from the hostel. When the swell went down I had better luck for waves walking further down Campeche beach, before that was fine right in front of the hostel. Had an awesome time here!

Very social, close to the beach. Clean and relaxing vibe, easy to connect with people for all day/night activities. Beautiful dog’s. However I had a very strange experience with the owner. I tried to rebook for one night after staying at an air bnb 2 nights (due to some sad news from home) the owner told me there were no beds available. I then heard someone extend so asked again and he told me it was just for staying guest (although I had stayed 3 nights previously). Weird vibe.

I really, really loved this hostel. It's often hard to find a place that is social, but not too party, and Floripa Surf Hostel has nailed it. The shared common space, happy hour and Whatsapp group mean that there's always someone to talk to, and always people wanting to go out / do activities etc. But it's also a chill enough vibe that you can take downtime and lounge in a hammock, or have a quiet night if you need to. So close to the beach as well, and it's a good beach for beginner surfers to learn too.
