The Romanian janitor is very nice. Bald twin loves to cut locks. I got lost on the way to my room, but the room was deliciously decorated. There is a kitchen and a lounge that I never used because Galway is great. I'm drunk and I highly recommend you stay here if you find yourself in Galway.

We had a double room en-suite that was situated at the back of the hostel. A bit small for two people but clean and everything needed in place. Also Wifi was working in kitchen area! I was surprised how quiet it was, taking into account that it is right in the pub-area. But we stayed during the week and maybe it gets more noisy during the weekend... Anyway, we have nothing to complain about. :)

The hostel was generally very well run. The staff were all exceptional and the location is great. My only complaint was that there was no hot water in the showers on one of the days I was there.

Location is excellent if u want to party or to see the city, if your just looking for a good nights sleep, this may not be the place as the streets are very noisy!(there's a pub across the street that stays open till like 2.30!). Breakfast is basic but good. Staff are very friendly! Shower was quite small, very little room to move in it :( However i do recommend and i would stay here again!

The Hostel has a good location, it's very central and only a short walk from pubs and and all interesting locations of Galway. When you have a room facing the street prepare for some noisy nights, Quays Pub is right across the street and it can get very load at night.. The elecrical sockets in our room were broken and the wifi only works in the kitchen, if you are lucky and you stay in the front rooms you get the Quays Pub wifi. The Stuff was very helpfull with all our questions and requests.

Friendly staff, great location! My only comment would be that the breakfast could perhaps be slightly more varied.

there was mold on the walls. You could barely move in the shower and the water was freezing. The toilet had to be flushed 5 times before it actually did any flushing whatsoever, and that was when you were lucky... the bed sheets were filthy. the electrical sockets were broken. When we made a complaint, they said they would have the maintenance guy look at it. We didn't see the maintenance guy during our 3 day stay. It's probably still not fixed.. Honestly, I'd never stay there again.

Internet is only free for 15 mins and you are only allowed to use all that up at once, which is a stupid system if you just want to check one thing and then be on your way. Fantastically located and I heard no noise from the pub opposite, plus the windows all seem double glazed. The rooms are small but okay, and v good ensuite. Only one toilet out of all the floors outside of the ensuite which is annoying if someone is using your ensuite. Staff okay.

Great place to stay.. Staffs are real friendly. Worth the money. PS: There is bar opposite, which plays music until 3-4am. So, don't forget your ear buds.

We arrived during much needed renovations to the building. Im sure it will change, but the rooms were very very old and felt quite like a prison cell. common room is very cosy and the staff are great for advice on Galway's many attractions

I've booked a "just-Girls-six-bed-room" and had to sleep in with some men. I will never come back again.
