Very clean hostel with nice staff! At the moment there are construction works going on which has a bit of a negative impact on the athmosphere and character. Overall good place to stay but there are definitely hostels with more charm in Shanghai.

We loved our four night stay. The room was small but the lounge area was great. The bathrooms and showers were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they also spoke English well. It was much better than our last stay in Shanghai at the Mingtown Hiker. The only con was that after we checked our luggage into security, when we picked it up they didn't require any ID to retrieve the luggage. Be aware of the security issue if your not in a private.

5-7 minute walk from metro. lots of cheap restaurants nearby (food at hostel bar, but overpriced). not allowed to bring your food to common room though. my only complaint. rooms are clean and comfortable, with good aircon. you may not get wifi in your room if you are far from the common room. common room is cozy, roomy, has free computers for use. my family stayed with me here, their first time at a hostel, and they liked it a lot. our private room had a kettle and tea bags, which was nice!

Good friendly atmosphere, rooms were good, value for money. Restaurant staff were extremely pleasant but (unfortunately) often got orders wrong (e.g. when I asked for tea with milk they gave me olong and milk).

I've stayed here for an extended amount of time. I've had several problems staying here but it hasn't been an issue to my experience at this hostel. Whenever I had these issues, the staff was really helpful and quickly helped me alleviate the problem. Good: The staff has been really friendly and often speak good English. Many of the people who stayed here were often really friendly and talkative. Bad: Food isn't good and overpriced. Elevators were poor. Bathroom and room were bit dirty.

The place is great, is near a metro station and very easy to get from the airport. It is also near of the downtown. The common room is amazing, bar, pool, darts... But the best is the staff, very friendly and helpful.

There is construction on one of the floors that is in progress. The Hostel occupies one seaparate floor. There was a lot of dust and intermittent noise. The rooms are small compared to other places. Restroom stalls and shower stalls are located in an area that also has rooms across from these facilities if you're unlucky to be placed there. The internet is incredibly slow and only accessible from common area. The common area only has a large couch , loveseat, gets crowded small tables w chairs.

There is construction going on around the hostel (on different floors) so it could be a little annoying if you want to sleep in or have a rest in the afternoon. It isn't their fault, but ....... Once that is complete, the hostel will be much better.

Had a nice time. Things to consider...very slow internet. Can get rowdy at night. Excellent location. Good price on laundry. The young woman they recently hired was really enthusiastic and fun to speak with. Wish I caught her name to thank her personally for a great stay.

Blue Mountain Bund is at the 6th floor of a centrally located building near East Nanjing Road. The location is perfect, just a 10-minute walk from The Bund. The staff were pretty helpful and there's free Internet and wifi access. Food's a bit pricey at the restaurant though.

The staff was excellent. They took care of all of our needs. Suggestions: better light for reeading in the loft. The heat needs to be regulated better. Cold down below and very warm in the loft.
