This is my third time in Shanghai.. This place is the best so far (stayed in Rock Bund Hostel and a three star hotel). My parents stayed in the most expensive room (which was quite large) and my husband and I stayed in the deluxe room, but it only fit a bed. I couldn't expect any better for what I paid. The cafe/bar was great. The only drawback is you cannot excess WiFi in your room, only in the cafe/bar. They had extra blankets, pillows, etc. and the front desk/servers spoke great English.

Please, don't book the 6 people rooms. They are in the 7th floor, and it seems the staff don't care the cleanliness in that floor. They just care about the 6th

Very good location, 10 mins from The Bund, 5 mins from Nanjing Rd. 20 min walk to the peoples square and old town. Hostel was clean and safe. The lifts upto the 6th floor were sometimes not working correctly. The restaurant had only three options, bar is just a self service fridge. No real complaints though. Would stay again.

Great Hostel with awesome location, staff are OK but this large hostel just lacked something. Everything you need is close by and can't be beaten if you are looking for a place right in the thick of it.

This hostel is in a high rise. As of April 2013, renovations are being done on the floor below this hostel. It can be rather noisy early in the morning. The deluxe double room has a loft with the bed on the floor. It was good for younger people but for older guests, it may not be the best. It does have a balcony which is a plus.

the internet was only available in the lobby. I tried in the room with the eternet cable but I had no connectivity. Would be great if it was available everywhere....

Friendly and very helpful staff, excellent location just a few blocks away from the Bund and very accessible by Metro. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, free wi-fi, located on the 9 floor (elevator available). Thumbs up!

I feel thankful that they allowed me to cancel one of the nights I had booked there without prior notice, just by telling them when I arrived at the reception.

Everything about this place was awesome. The only down side is the Wifi only works in the bar area. It gets people out of their rooms so it's a good thing. The food is mediocre but the dumplings are delicious. There is a noise/activity curfew but it didn't impede on our good time. Alcohol is expensive and there is a store right across the street. Location is excellent for the subway, The Bund and Nanjing Rd. A good mix of locals and Western travelers. I would stay here again.

The location is super, just about 5 minutes walk from the railway station. The deluxe room is excellent and the price is cheap, nowhere better than that. The wifi is not perfectly fast but acceptable. I believe that we cannot expect everything perfect so this hostel is the best one in my experience until now.

Really nice for a cheap stay in Shanghai but the atmosphere of the place was kind of unfriendly. The staff were not as friendly as other hostels I've stayed in china and don't talk to the guests much. The menu in the bar looked really promising with tabs for pizza and noodle dishes etc but when I opened the book it's all blank. :( rooms and beds all clean but I hardly spoke to anyone there.

This hostel has a very good location, and some awesome views from the rooms/terrace. Also has a nice bar and relax room, but too bad everyone's busy with their laptops and mobile phones. Rooms were clean and good value for money. English of the staff wasn't too good, but was sufficient to find our way.

staff very helpful and friendly. located 2 blocks from subway. small food store across street. Hard to find due to small sign. Gave taxis driver a map and Chinese address and he still dropped us off 3 blocks away. room with deck great. The best hot water and heat around! wi fi only in communal area, but not a problem.
