One of my favorite hostels in Shanghai! It is located between People's Square and the Bund, aside one of the most tourist spots in the city - the Nanjing Dong Lu. The area around the hostel is full of convenience stores and small restaurants. The staff is always very nice and communicative. I really enjoyed my second stay in this hostel and will book a room there anytime again.

Great character and excellent location. Super close to East Nanjing Road subway stop, and within walking distance to The Bund. Very clean rooms with a great view.

The location was exellent, near all main attractions, and easy to find. The stall very helpful and kind. However, I think this hostel is much better in summer time. It is too cold during winter, and corridors, showers, even the bar is too cold, hence is not confortable. Personally, I was in the room 627, this room was next to the terrace, the heater was not working, so the room was too cold.

Best location ever! everyone is nice, but it takes a while to get something done, if u need anything from the staff... I also didn't enjoy to have to go outside before u can use the bathroom or the showers, especially because i was there in winter. overall experience: nice hostel, great location!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although, it seemed a bit like the hostel was trying to make money off the guests like a hotel would, rather than helping out the budgeting traveler. For example, they had city maps for sell. This just rubbed me the wrong way, as I think that they should have had maps of the city available at no cost. I was able to get wifi from my room though which was great!

We stayed here for only a few nights, but didn't particularly enjoy it. Only really because the walls were so paper thin and our room was located in an area people often stopped to chat loudly at around 3am. Also, one incident with a member of the bar staff not knowing what they were doing and giving me attitude.

I booked here because I read the reviews on the great location. However, the hostel had lots of great surprises in addition to close proximity to the subway and other things to do. Nathan at the front desk was delightful to talk with - he was very helpful and courteous! They also had lots of fun tips around the hostel like "watch out for the lady boys" and a fun hand made map of places in to check out that were walking distance from the hostel. The beds were comfortable and the water hot!

We had a pretty good stay! After staying at a terrible hostel, we checked out early and booked a double bed here. We were happy to find that this place was clean and accommodating, and the staff was friendly. My only complaint is the bathroom area. It's right next to a huge glass door, and there's absolutely no heating there. It feels like you're outside, which is pretty miserable if you're trying to take a shower or go to the bathroom. Other than that, it was great!

It was a good cheap facility with very nice staff. The rooms were decent size and had lockers which was nice. The only downfall was that it was very cold wehn we went and unfortunately the shower/toilet area is right next to a very poorly insulated door and it was FREEZING. The rooms were decently not too clean but still again, it was fine for the money.

Fantastic locations, very friendly staff and incredibly clean. The bar atmosphere isn't quite as good as many of the other hostels in Shanghai, but then again there are plenty of independent bars in SH to make up for that. A minor issue with having to go outside between our room and the shower. However, the toilet facilities themselves are excellent.

The staff was amazingly helpful with me, every time I had an issue or any questions they helped me. The hostel has a beautiful deck & bar area The only real problem I had was the cold, the entire hostel was super cold. The room was freezing as well, as either the heater was not powerful enough or the insulation was poor. I finally got sick on my last night Also I didn't like that, as a rule, we were not allowed to bring outside food on the bar area, where else could we go? Otherwise excellent

Great location and it had a cool common room, but the whole place is just too COLD. I don't understand why they can't just add some heaters...at minimum to the dorm rooms. Would be a great place to stay in the summer though
