Good place but food and drinks very expensive in the bar and you are not allowed to bring your own things in. Good rooms though for the price and a decent location.

The rooms were cleaned but not so much, especially when I had to look for something under my bed! But the bed was very comfy, with good pillows and blankets. The rest of the place looked clean and tidy. Good atmosphere, great location and friendly people. Internet not so good and not available in rooms.

After taking a 1hr nap after check-in, we discovered our room was infested with bedbugs. The staff had a mixed reaction, some being very helpful and apologetic and others laughing at us. The manager facilitated moving us into a neighboring hotel and sending our clothes to be dry cleaned. Other than that experience, the rest of the facilities appeared to be clean, had a welcoming atmosphere, and the computers allowed access to email/facebook. The friendlier staff werealso super helpful in general

Very pleasant stay in this hostel. I recommand it to anyone who wants to visit the city. Very well located. I am only deploring the fact to have been placed in a sort of 'extra dorm' which gives onto the terrace and was way too small for 6.

My second stay here, last time I stayed in a dorm, this time my partner and I stayed in a double room with an ensuite. Great value for money. Clean, reliable hot water, great location in Shanghai. Staff are usually helpful. I would recommend it without hesitation.

a really nice hostel right in the middle of shanghai! the only bad thing i can come upwith is that it was damn cold in the public areas such as the bar and the showers.

The floor of our room didn't look all that clean. Not a big deal though. Otherwise, the location was great, and the common area was nice.

Our room was adjacent to the elevator staff and the use of the elevator made a constant noise in our room day and night. I think a room nearer the bar/restaurant may have been more peaceful. The staff was so nice. Very helpful!

I had a double room and it is very cosy and pretty clean, a good bathroom with towels and a hairdryer. It was noisy though as it was right near the bar, although this meant I could pick up wifi to an extent. My friend paid a bit extra for the deluxe double and it was great - two levels with a balcony and a loft bed. Easy and quick walk to Nanjing Road and also not far from People's Square.

A amazing place to stay! Absolutely best location to stay as a tourist! The hostels character/atmosphere really great. They have bar area with lots of place to hang up and huge terrace outside with a pool table and u can even see a small part from the bund!Staff really friendly, perfect englisch! We once stayed in a room, where the toilet was just separated by a glass door- maybe have to change this, not nice to watch sb.going to the toilet;) I stayed already twice there and really recommend it!

I have stayed here once before and I'm so glad I went back a second time! Its a comfortable space and so convenient to get around with easy access to the subway and makes a good place to stay over night coming in from the airport or the train station. I love how its within walking distance to The Bund and all of the great places in that area. If you choose either the dorm room or the private double room, both are good choices!

Large hostel with a very inviting common room where you will make friends and connect to good wifi. Excellent location near Nanjing Rd and the Bund. Rooms temperatures can vary based on season you are there - winter was hot on top bunk, cold on bottom Plenty of showers and bathroom options. Nice outside roof deck. Soft bed and clean sheets w private locker and outlets. Will book here again when in Shanghai. Try the food right outside at night!

The only thing was that you weren't allowed outside food or drinks in the common area. Its a hostel, we are all trying to save a buck.

The hostel is too cold. The hostel living common areas, Hostel halls, my all girls 6 person dorm room #601 and especially the public girl/boy shared bathroom/shower/sink area was unbearably freezing cold. A cold breeze was constantly coming through the big glass door next to the bathroom sinks area and into my my #601 that happen to be right next to the bathroom area. My heater in room #601 was not working correctly and was broken. I was afraid I could ketch pneumonia just brushing my teeth let alone use ba
