My second stay here, last time I stayed in a dorm, this time my partner and I stayed in a double room with an ensuite. Great value for money. Clean, reliable hot water, great location in Shanghai. Staff are usually helpful. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Very pleasant stay in this hostel. I recommand it to anyone who wants to visit the city. Very well located. I am only deploring the fact to have been placed in a sort of 'extra dorm' which gives onto the terrace and was way too small for 6.

nice hostel, nice lounge and terrace... and great stuff: computer available with Facebook witch is rare in China as facebook is normally censured...

a really nice hostel right in the middle of shanghai! the only bad thing i can come upwith is that it was damn cold in the public areas such as the bar and the showers.

The floor of our room didn't look all that clean. Not a big deal though. Otherwise, the location was great, and the common area was nice.

Our room was adjacent to the elevator staff and the use of the elevator made a constant noise in our room day and night. I think a room nearer the bar/restaurant may have been more peaceful. The staff was so nice. Very helpful!

Great hostel, it's close to the subway station. Good atmosphere, cool people. The rooms were somewhat cold.

I had a double room and it is very cosy and pretty clean, a good bathroom with towels and a hairdryer. It was noisy though as it was right near the bar, although this meant I could pick up wifi to an extent. My friend paid a bit extra for the deluxe double and it was great - two levels with a balcony and a loft bed. Easy and quick walk to Nanjing Road and also not far from People's Square.

A amazing place to stay! Absolutely best location to stay as a tourist! The hostels character/atmosphere really great. They have bar area with lots of place to hang up and huge terrace outside with a pool table and u can even see a small part from the bund!Staff really friendly, perfect englisch! We once stayed in a room, where the toilet was just separated by a glass door- maybe have to change this, not nice to watch sb.going to the toilet;) I stayed already twice there and really recommend it!

I have stayed here once before and I'm so glad I went back a second time! Its a comfortable space and so convenient to get around with easy access to the subway and makes a good place to stay over night coming in from the airport or the train station. I love how its within walking distance to The Bund and all of the great places in that area. If you choose either the dorm room or the private double room, both are good choices!

Really safe place to stay, friendly and clean. a little more expensive tough, but the value for the money is ok.

Large hostel with a very inviting common room where you will make friends and connect to good wifi. Excellent location near Nanjing Rd and the Bund. Rooms temperatures can vary based on season you are there - winter was hot on top bunk, cold on bottom Plenty of showers and bathroom options. Nice outside roof deck. Soft bed and clean sheets w private locker and outlets. Will book here again when in Shanghai. Try the food right outside at night!

The only thing was that you weren't allowed outside food or drinks in the common area. Its a hostel, we are all trying to save a buck.

The hostel is too cold. The hostel living common areas, Hostel halls, my all girls 6 person dorm room #601 and especially the public girl/boy shared bathroom/shower/sink area was unbearably freezing cold. A cold breeze was constantly coming through the big glass door next to the bathroom sinks area and into my my #601 that happen to be right next to the bathroom area. My heater in room #601 was not working correctly and was broken. I was afraid I could ketch pneumonia just brushing my teeth let alone use ba

It was my first time traveling to Asia, and I couldn't have chosen a better hostel to stay at. The management and staff were outstanding. They were more than happy to help me with anything I needed in Shanghai. They even taught me some Chinese. The manager is a very lovely girl who seems to set the atmosphere for the whole place. It seems like she keeps the staff very happy, and she is always up for a friendly chat with the guests. I will definitely recommend this hostel to all of my friends :)

Good hostel, great location and price, but much too cold in winter.

It was a very nice hostel. Good for the value, nice location, close to the bund and easy to reach. The rooms were clean.

Mediocre hostel. Location was OK and good common room. We were on the 7th floor (common room and reception are on 6th) and the electronic key cards for the room seemed to reset every couple hours, which meant frequent trips down stairs before we could get in. Room was very cold with drafts coming through the windows and the heater could not keep up. Bathroom was fairly clean, but was being used by non-hostel guests. Lockers would be a nice addition.
