Great location 'cause it was close to where I needed to be. Amazing value for money and facilities at that rate. Only thing that beats all that is the super-friendly staff!!! Cleanliness: common areas very clean, but dorms weren't cause of ventilation-not a staff issue. Lost a shoe polish-small thing, but was careful thereafter. Atmosphere-not much of interaction, a 'by yourself place'. Also, very little fresh ventilation in corridors and dorms.

Quite ordinary. Hostel itself is clean and staff is nice, but location is so so and the facility is so so.

Good central location, clean, friendly helpful staff, good lockers (they give you a key) , small bar area downstairs and common area/kitchen, good wifi in common areas.

The staff was great! They were so friendly to us when we arrived and very helpful. The location is close to a metro stop, which is nice. The rooms were clean but the bathrooms smelled really bad.

We stayed 1 night at this hostel because we were travelling the next day in the morning from HongQiao railway station and it was the nearest hostel around. I wouldn't recommend this hostel if you are staying longer in Shanghai, but would rather look for one near to downtown. The hostel is easy to be found and near a metro station. Around you can find supermarket and places to eat. Staff was nice and facilities are ok.

Only stayed here for the night , it was pretty decent . The lounging area was not very big but the rooms are nice and they have lockers and locks to protect any important stuff . I liked the location it was right down the street from the subway station which is always convenient . The shower was not very good, but that could've just been our room . All in all it was a decent place for one night

Got 2 mosquito bites. Dorm room was damp, muggy, and very messy.

The hostel is near metro line 2, and although it's not in the centre, it's really easy to find and the metro brings you to all the main sights within half an hour. There are some nice simple restaurants nearby and places that do Chinese pancakes and steamed buns for breakfast. The staff pointed this out, as the hostel doesn't serve food! Not a problem though, with aforementioned options and a supermarket nearby. The staff are really friendly and speak English :)

Overall this was a great place to stay! Extremely close to the subway station which made getting to different parts of Shanghai easy. The movies at night were a lot of fun and a good way to have some downtime!
