Good hostel with good social bar area. Not close to much but right next to metro so easy to get to sights. Dorm rooms are good enough with decent aircon but are not the cleanest and get no wifi. Wifi in the building is bad in general. Staff are nice and helpful.
Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was really helpful and my roommates were cool. The toilets here are cleaned very frequently. The bed was pretty comfy and you can leave your belongings in a locked space. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Shanghai.

It was a great place! Right aross from the metro stop. Close to the bund. The staff had great English and were very willing to help! Had great amenities including towels, but the rooms were pretty run down. It could have been better taken are of. Other than that, everything was pretty good. Bathrooms good, beds soft, windows in the rooms. You are right by the road so there is a lot of noise int he mornings. Internet was really bad though. Recommend:)
I've lived in China for over a year and I've traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, understand that my expectations are pretty low. We had booked a private 4-bed room and were moved into a 5-bed room, with no window to the outside. The bathroom stank. Like rotten sewage. Mold on the floor around the edges Beds, if they could be called that, were terribly uncomfortable. Linens were clean. Location was fantastic. Metro across the street. Smokers always right by the entrance.
Very communal but also fun atmosphere. Staff were helpful and kind. Wifi in the room was weak but more reliable in the common areas/by reception.
Nice enough place, a little out of the city, but you can ride the metro easy enough. Good common area.
Blue Mountain was great! Bar area with the pool table was an awesome place to meet friends!
The best thing with the hostel is its staff. All the receptions were extremely nice and helpful. I stayed in a 8-bed dorm and the madrases were so thin that my back hurt the day after. That is why I left earlier than thought.
By far the best atmosphere I have experienced at any hostel. The lounge areas were always filled and gave people the chance to meet lots of people. The subway station is across the street- super convenient! The neighborhood is lively but not overwhelming either. I will definitely be back when I return to Shanghai. Bar staff, Eyre, is super friendly! Only thing is that front desk people could work on being nicer and more helpful. And get wifi in other areas of the hostel.
The corners of the room I stayed in could've been cleaned more thoroughly.
Very good hostel. The location is perfect, it's not in a too busy street but you can easily go anywhere with the metro being just outside the froot door. The staff was really helpful and answered all my questions to organize my next trip. The rooms and bathrooms are all clean. The lobby is a nice place to rest. Good value for money for an hostel in Shanghai ! I definitely recommend this place.
Even though it was a bit more complicated to find it after the subway stops at night, it was still a great situation. It's not as main stream as in the Bund but you are more directly in a Chinese neighborhood. And food around is plenty and rather cheap! People who stay there are not just looking for the touristy Shanghai, but they are all very friendly and welcoming! Also: best long island iced tea ever ;) Such an awesome stay. Thank you all, I'll miss you!
The hostel was just as described! Great location to food, sites, and the train. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

My first hostel stay. Loved it. Had a comfortable little room with private bath. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Price was inexpensive and hostel located right in front of subway line. Very convenient.

The hostel was a lovely place to stay. The staff was all very nice; Jennifer, Coca, and Sun (I think) were all happy to help with any questions or problems I had regarding the hostel itself, or anything that I needed or wanted to do in the city, or even out of the city. They were a pleasure to interact with. Doors open 24 hours, that's always a plus. Met some nice people in the communal areas, too. Great 24 hour noodle place next door, (Yao Ming has apparently eaten there) so eat there.
Ok hostel in Shanghai, close to Metro. The room (single) was moldy and damp. The clothes couldn't dry and the sheets felt a little bit wet. The staff were not that helpful and service minded. As all mention before us, the wifi sucked.
I lived in a private room without a bathroom. The room was clean and well-equipped--a TV, a kettle, cups, and a hair dryer available. There was a very cozy common room with a TV and a pool table there. I didn't like the toilet because there was a terrible smell there during my stay. The location of the hostel is fantastic--just next to the Lu Ban Rd station of line 4. The staff was helpful and friendly.
When you don´t speak chinesse the staff becomes the most valuable asset if they help you. Only one memeber didn´t want to help me, I can´t give them a bad review because of one person, but the rest of the gays had always great attitud to help.
Overall a good place to stay. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was warm, and the room was clean. However, the smell of the bathrooms was a little off-putting, despite the signs advertising that they were cleaned every half hour. It was in a good location, close to the metro, but the map has the wrong address; it'll get you to the right street, but to the wrong building.
Really friendly and helpful staff. The girl who's running the bar makes excellent cocktails and really makes an effort in getting people to interact with each other. Great girl! The staff behind the counter is also really friendly and can help you with anything
