I had a great time at this hostel! It is very close to the subway and the city centre. Nice staff, clean rooms and cheap prices for food and drinks. I met a nice foreigner outside of the hostel that lives very near who helped me with a lot, he has lived in this hostel before 4 years ago. I will come back soon!

Blue Mountain LuWan Youth Hostel is a great place to stay in Shanghai. Staff is very polite, the atmosphere is very cool, you can use Wi-Fi, computer, even books without any problems. It's very clean and cosily.

I loved Blue Mountain Hostel. I felt very comfortable, welcome and safe. The common area is great and so is the breakfast (additional charge). I will stay there again next time.

This place is great. It's really close to a metro station and the metro is super easy to use - everything is in English. There is delicious street food on qui xi road (where the hostel is) especially in the morning. The staff speak English and are really lovely and helpful.

The dorms are damp and not well cleaned, the sheets were not clean either. The common (the bar) area was good, but you are not allowed to eat your own food there. The kitchen was worst, we didn't want our food in the fridge or eat in the kitchen. There was no equitment as plates or glases. However the hostel had a nice staff and good beds. Only for sleeping =good.

Stayed at Blue Mountain on the Bund and was expecting similar level of cleanliness and upkeep but bathroom was moldy and shower flooded and room had a dingy look overall.

Staff is friendly and location is very convenient, right next to the metro station. Cleanliness could be a little better but I think for a hostel it's ok.

Everything was very good, nice and close to Luban Subway Station, (accross the road) line 4, staff were helpful. Not recommended if you come home home paraletic drunk each night as the stairs are not even, and steep. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

The staff are excellent. Really appreciated the effort that some went to help us find forward accommodation and transport. The rooms are clean and comfortable and warm ( it snowed in Shanghai when we were there). We are going back.

This hostel is very easy to find located opposite Luban Road station. Facilities were clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were helpful when asked questions. The common area room has a pretty quiet vibe, with people mainly sitting on their laptops instead of drinking and partying. Overall a nice place to stay and great value in Shanghai.

This hostel was very cold! I enjoyed my stay, but each night when I tried to go to sleep, I was freezing. They need a better heating system for the winter.

The shower in the ensuite was very moldy and the hostel would benefit from having a more inclusive atmosphere, like theme nights in the cafe, which is underused and mostly just full of people hanging around for hours and hours on their tablets and laptops. This may be due to the lack of wifi strength, but it discourages the cafe from being used for socialising.

All in all a good place to stay at. Perhaps not a dynamic option but still, that was money well spent.

We were 3, and we went here for 3 days ! It's was so nice. The staff was so nice with us, and help us for everything. It's really well located, just in front of the subway (line 4). So, I will come back here, if I will go back to Shanghai.

Having a kitchen to use was a welcome bonus.

We stayed are room 218. The shower section of the bathroom was a bit moldy at the bottom area. The shower curtain was worn out with holes in it (good time to replace it with a new one). Other than cleanliness, we were satisfied with the other areas.
