Broadford Youth Hostel Reviews

I was on a bus tour. location was only issue. while the sensible thing to do would have been to estimate the distance of hostel from main central drop off point at Kylechin, i had to get taxi. Was not too put out as the room cost was low. With no issue with any other point if you are going to broadford you will need your own transport.

Good hostel in itself but the town just isn't a great place to have a hostel, nothing to do, have to get a bus everywhere, and very out of the way.

Very comfortable place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Good breakfasts. There's a big self catering kitchen, a supermarket at 3 minutes from the hostel (and restaurants, coffee shops, a pharmacy, an hospital ...). The place is very calm and the landscape over the bay and the mountains is fabulous. You can do nice walks directly from the hostel (4 or 5 at least). The public transports of the Isle (to Elgol, Totternish, Cullins ...) are at 3 minutes walking. Great hostel!

A bit pricey for what you get. The beds and all are good, but there is a curfew at midnight plus the internet is expensive (£3/hr)

The hostel and the location were a perfect combination. It is close to shops and situated in a quiet area. Lovely staff and facilities in good condition!

It has a very large spacious kitchen which was great for cooking. The room we stayed in was clean but very small for six people and there only was two sockets in the room. The hot water in the whole hostel was a horrible brownish colour....:/

Hostel is lokated in heart of Isle of Skye. He offer beutiful view on lake (loch) and mountains

The staff is very friendly ad helpful. I would like to rent a bike for cycling, the staff helped me to arrange it. The self- catering kitchen is clean. The location at Broadford is excellent for the self-drive traveller. However, the connection bus is not frequent.
