Clean, airy, friendly and close to the beach. Bedrooms are too tightly packed. There's not enough room for the luggage even though everyone has just one single backpack. E.g. room #15.

Cape Byron YHA is a nice hostel, but for the same price you could probably get more, such as wifi or breakfast. The rooms are very nice and clean, so are the showers and toilets. One thing that is missing though is a communitiy room, it would make it a lot easier to meet people.

Very nice hostel. Bathrooms were clean (except at night with all the party animals returning). Some dorms have double beds, so we booked a 5-bed mixed dorm, but we actually had 6 people staying in our dorm. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. Also, if you're a couple and want to share a bed, ask about the double beds in the dorms, because we (a couple) didn't know about it until we arrived. This hostel was pretty expensive for what you get, but I guess that's Byron Bay.

Great location and Byron Bay is really beautiful and worth a stop but this hostel was filthy. The bathrooms were really gross and our room was a mess. We were in a 4 person share and it appeared like the 2 other girls had been there for months and had there stuff EVERYWHERE. We went during the off season so I can\'t imagine what this place is like when it\'s full.

whas ok , bu there s one BIG THING MISSING in the rooms , LOCKERS !!!! it s pretty anoying that you have to go the the reception everytime to get something out of the safe , because they don t check enough about which bag in the safe is staff was ok , but rooms are vvery small , and only have 2 plugs for 5 people i also think that the water of the pool could be cleaner showers were clean however

Disappointed - we researched quite a bit in advance, after we couldn't book at our preferred hostel. Upon arrival, the additional night i had booked for 2 of us, was NOT in their system, despite direct email contact & confirmation. Luckily 2 beds were available. Main let-down were the DIRTY toilet/showers! From our arrival Saturday afternoon until Monday morning they were NOT cleaned and disgusting! with such a small no. of facilities for a lot of room, they should be cleaned at LEAST once/day.

Nice hostel. Close to the beach, the supermarket, the bars, the bus stop, Byron is a small town anyways. No lockers in the room and no wi-fi at all. You can use the internet but just cable and of course it is paid as almost everywhere else in Australia, and expensive too. There is a nice swimming pool whre you can relax by evening. Good atmosphere and a nice common area where people meet while having something to eat. Free body boards to hire! Had a nice time there and would stay again.

The hostel was very clean, the bath- and bedrooms were clean and we enjoyed to stay there. It was a little bit humid in the rooms, but all other things were perfect!

the hostel was ok, i didnt think it was as livey as the yha down the road but that doesnt mean i didnt have a good time there. they need to get new fire starters(matches) and they definitely need to buy some new can openers as the ones they got there are useless and frustrating.

Hostel is very close to the beach and also has a really nice pool area. No lockers provided in the shared rooms which I didn't like. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This hostel was a really big delusion. It was one of the most expensive between all the hostels in wich I have been going around Australia, but probably the worst. No air conditioning in the room, rooms really small, sheets founded not very clean, reception not avalaible for many hours and loud voices around my room every night. It was difficult to sleep.

Close to the beach. Kitchen could be bigger by the amount of people.

Very good location just a few hundred meters from the Greyhound bus station and the main beach. The hostel is really nice with a very big kitchen, which is general pretty clean, a nice common area, awesome pool in the middle of the hostel, a huge veranda and a very big tv room. It was just a little bit disappointing that we had to leave the veranda at 11pm. Except of that a really nice hostel that I can recommend!
