About

YHA Byron Bay is located right in the centre of this popular seaside town and only metres to some of Australia's top surf beaches. It is Byron's newest hostel with a contemporary chilled extension and new communal areas opened in early 2018.

Enjoy the new large kitchen, extra outdoor decks and seating area, and comfy lounge. The contemporary design includes a new reception, lush tropical gardens and pool area, and eye-catching outdoor artwork.

You have a great choice of accommodation. Choose from multi-share rooms with shared bathrooms, lockers and fans, or ensuite multi-share rooms with air conditioning. There is also a range of private rooms with ensuite, air-conditioning and flat screen TVs - in the new wing.

Hire a surfboard, bike or free bodyboard from the hostel and check out Byron Bay's unspoilt beaches and great cycling trails or watch the sun set over Australia's eastern-most point. If that's not enough, there is snorkelling, kayaking, hang-gliding, rainforest tours, whale watching, and a busy nightlife scene.

Our stay was so amazing! The property is in the process of changing the key card access, so we had a few issues with our keys at check in. The staff was so accommodating and gave us free breakfast to apologize! Everyone we encountered was so friendly and the property was very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Good value hostel, had a great stay. Very clean with good facilities and bathrooms were good, which is not always the case in a hostel. Only criticism is that they didn’t provide any towels, other than that we couldn’t say a bad word about the place

Very nice hostel with nice pool, great kitchen and bathroom facilities. Always great to have power outlet near the bed and a lamp there. Comfy beds and pillow however the bunk beds had like an extra step on the stairs to get to the top bunk that made it a bit harder to climb up than it needed to be? So that’s the only complaint otherwise great stay!
