Charged me for late checkout although the room hadn't been booked and the hostel was not busy. I hadn't been able to contact them because nobody answered the phone when I called. I eventually had to give up. 0 for customer service.

Absurd prices for 'extras', not close to the good parts of Shanghai, and no wifi in the rooms. A better value for money would be in hostels closer to the bund.

Great location and excellent atmosphere. The lounge is awesome! The biggest problem was with several members of the staff who had a poor attitude. A few of them made it seem like we were inconveniencing them or annoying them by checking in or ordering food.

That was a good hostel to stay and I recommend. Location good as it is near to the metro station, maybe 150m. No places to visit around though and was not so convenient to hang out "in nightlife", but fine. The staff helped us to call an uber. Good points to the communal area/restaurant/pool table. Good area to meet people. Food was good, price good, drinks as well.

It was very nice, there wasn't anything that was really needed. I would come here again. Just keep up the good work.

This was a great hostel because it was a reasonable price and it is only a short walk from a metro station. We stayed in a three person single room. Beds were comfortable and the room was warm though it was cold outside. There was some dust under the bed but not a big deal. The hostel was a relaxing place to come back to after exhausting ourselves roaming around Shanghai.

The social area is a bit anti social. Staffs were just ok. Rest was really nice.

The most important thing of this hostel was handy location. It was not in the central, but it was near the subway. The hostel was clean, and even bathrooms were clean, since there was a friendly employee cleaning several times a day. Remember to take your own pad lock, so you can lock your valuables: there were small lockers on the corridor, but they were not free. This was the only minus, in rooms there were lockers, but without pad locks. Otherwise, very nice place!

The air conditioning in the room seems do not have any cleaning since a while. The price for pick up from airport pudong is higher then taking a taxi by yourself. Tricky. A Boss should not have a private office in from of reception desk. This area should be for visitors.

The Hostel is located in a good part of town. It's a bit annoying to transfer to line 2 which is where most of the tourist spots are located but it's not that bad. The rooms smelled a bit weird I guess because of the humidity and because they are in the first floor. I stayed in a dorm. Overall the staff is good and helpful (although sometimes not with the best manner) especially the guy in the kitchen/bar. NO WIFI IN THE ROOM IS A MAJOR TURN OFF. You have to go out to the lobby to log in.

Wifi doesn't work, or doesn't reach the room. Stayed 2 nights in double bed room.

The location is fantastic, rooms are clean, the food in the restaurant is good. But the wifi is non-existent, dial-up was faster. Customer service is dreadful. We were given the wrong information about where to buy train tickets and wasted 3 hours of our day. The woman on reception huffed when my partner asked for directions. A bit more effort on her part could have saved us an expensive taxi ride. We didn't even get a simple "Thank you for your stay." We would not stay here again.

Good points -- communal bathrooms not too bad Bad points -- no wifi in rooms, the staff. The desk staff were horrible - completely disinterested, unhelpful and rude, and they completely ignore you unless you practically yell at them...i gave up trying to ask them anything --- i asked fellow guests instead... a roommate brought in a 'visitor', and another roommate was...well...a bit emotionally unstable, but the staff didnt care... on the plus side, i made friends with my other roommates :)

Thoroughly enjoyed our three nights here. Cheap drinks in the bar with a good atmosphere and close to the subway which is always helpful.

Helpful helping us book flight and good location. Room smelt a bit musty and reception staff were not overly friendly.

This hostel was a very nice surprise - it felt more like a hotel after having shared facilities in all other hostels we've stayed at. Rooms have no fridge, though. AC was good, rooms get cleaned every day. Bed is big and not too hard. The location may not be ideal, but still not too far by subway or bus. Feels much less touristy than further south. There's a Carrefour nearby-ish to serve most of your grocery cravings. Make sure you check out the night barbecue near the Caoyang Lu station.

Many facilities like computer access, book renting, private lockers, printing were paid additionally, and VERY expensive. To print one page one has to pay 2 yuan... And for lockers you have to pay every time you lock it. Bar was very expensive too. Also loud music was playing until late night hours. Though it's probably noted in the hostel description in my opinion it sucks that there is no wifi access in rooms. Generally we'd describe this place as 'money sucking'.
