Comfortable beds clean rooms twenty minutes from center - No Wi-Fi in rooms. staff unfriendly/rude No free towels. No towel for rent. everything overpriced (20 rmb for one piece of laundry at the laundry service?!) You got to pay for computers in lobby connecti on is very poor bathrooms not really clean

I only stayed for one night and it was fine. IT'd be great to note that the MRT at the airport stops working at 10:00 pm not 11:00 as I had to take a bus to town and then taxi, despite the information on hostel's website. The staff and facilities at the hostels are ok as is the value for money. Close-to-metro location is very helpful if you are planning to leave early in the morning. A little improvement to the staff's English skills would be helpful though.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! The staff is helpful and speaks English well. The 8-bed-dormitory I stayed in was comfy, I liked it there. A little cold in the lobby when I was there (early March) but otherwise a nice place to socialize (bar and pool table!). Free use of the computers in the lobby and long hot showers are provided as well. I'll definitely come back!

This was a great value hostel that offers comfortable rooms and good services at fair prices. The staff are very friendly too. The location is right next to a metro and takes only minutes to reach the sites. We would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for good budget travel hotel in Shanghai.

Bar sells Tiger beer. One of the only places in China where I've found it. Not that crappy Tiger Crystal stuff, either. Proper Tiger beer.

I met a lot of nice people from all world ... Nice staff, Nice rooms, it's the third time that i come back in this hostel and i will never change it.

My husband and I have stayed at City Central twice and have had pleasant experiences both times. Great location (near metro), awesome staff, and we love the private rooms. We'll definitely be returning soon.

Pretty close to the metro station,so it compensates the far from center location. Staff is helpfull,I stayed in the 4 beds dorms and it was tidy, not too much space though but it wasn't bad.the major problem is that there is a constant smell of cigarettes in the hallways and bathrooms, seams like no one gives a damn about the smoking prohibition and the staff doesn't really deal with it. the hostel is quite big, with 5 floors so don't expect to get any wifi connection farther than the first floor.

It's an amazing place. All the stuff are friendly and professional. The room is clean and comfortable. BTW the food there are really tasty.

Always stay here in Shanghai

That was the second time i stayed at this hostel and again i think it was a good choice. Its clean, the atmosphere is quite comfy and homy and the price for a double room is okay. What i disliked is that the food is a bit overpriced and mostly western food, it would be cheaper if you look for a chinese restaurant nearby and there are a lot foreigners, so if u want to get in touch with chinese in order to train your chinese, book another hostel.

I think they need to arrange at least 2 staff at the reception, it took around 15 mins to wait for check-in/check-out

Very nice hostel with the friendliest staff! They were really busy during the holidays, but always to the time to help everyone, and remained friendly and ket smiling no matter what! The place is clean and the rooms are great. There is a restaurant/bar downstairs where it is easy to meet people. The subway is nearby so it's easy to go wherever you want, and then come back to a nice and more quiet neighborhood. Ask the staff about the market close to the hostel, it's very nice!

Great hostel, friendly staff and great atmosphere
