Cannot fault Duc Vuong Hotel. The best part about it is its rooftop bar - a super cool spot that makes me want to leave my room and hang out there. The view of the city from the bar is phenomenal, including a clear view of the Bitexco Tower. Rooms are superb, staff are attentive, service is thoughtful, price is reasonable. If and when I'm in Saigon again, I will be back.

The room was lovely and well appointed, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The rooftop garden was delightful, though the drinks were overpriced and incompetently made (there is more to a Bloody Mary than dumping vodka in tomato water!) The hotel was immaculately clean throughout, and the location was lovely--nestled in the backpacker district but just far enough away from the bars that the noise cannot be heard at night. The travel agent on the ground floor was rude and incompetent.

We decided to go out on a limb and book somewhere a a little more expensive for our last two nights in Ho Chi Minh. We were very pleased with our choice. The room was very comfortable and had the best shower. Staff were all very helpful and accommodating. Free breakfast was great. The only negative i can think of is that our room was very close to the reception area and one night it was quite noisy as there was a group of people drinking or dining and we could hear them quite late into the night

We stayed there for three nights. Standard room is a bit too small, but nice with wooden floor. It is a not bad choice in Pham Ngou Lao area for people who prefer tranquil. Reasonable price with breakfast buffet, but we found the price is cheaper when booking from Hotel.
