Great Location, Clean, friendly, quiet hostel which feels more like a hotel! Really happy with it, great breakfast and good wifi as well.

When you get in the corridors, you think you are in a hotel, what is quite good. The rooms are very silent as well, offering good night sleeping. However, staff don't like to give information and you need to look for it somewhere else or you get lost in the city.

Had a really great time, hostel was much better than i was expecting. Rooms were adequate and washroom while not private were very clean, they were cleaned regularly throughout the day. Maintenance was good too, a couple of things i saw broken one day and were fixed the next. The only slight issue was the noise early in the morning, but nothing some earplugs or lots of alcohol could'nt solve. I will be visiting again. The breakfast was very good for being free.

Good quality hostel, the only gripe is the small kitchen making breakfast a cramped event regardless of what time you head down but this is made up for by excellent bathrooms and dorms. One thing to mention is that the hostel is on a street with numerous bars and clubs so if you're a light sleeper you may want to request a room at the back or on a higher floor. Luckily I can sleep through a nuclear explosion so I was fine.

The only issue would be cleanliness. For a hostel, it wasn't bad, but if you are expecting hotel quality cleanliness, you might be let down. Although, the Bathrooms were clean. Just the room carpet was a little dirty. Other than that, this place is FANTASTIC. GREAT location, great staff, nice bathrooms, easily the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone.

Room was very clean, beds were very comfortable. Free breakfast was very good. Only small complaint I could make is that the WiFi reception is pretty bad in the rooms.

If only the staff were more helpful and interested in their travelers... It seems like they couldn't care less and didn't want to be there!

Only stayed there for 1 night. Was very clean, breakfast was very good (!), they even upgraded my room. Location was okay I guess, doesn't seem to be too many things to do in Vancouver anyway. Staff was not very helpful and seemed a little clueless at times but apart from that: good stay!

I stayed both in HI and Samesun right across the street so I can compare. I must stay I liked Samesun much more. HI is much older building, rooms were not that clean, overall character was quite poor. They have a lot of activities though as every HI. I appreciated an elevator as I had a lot of luggage, breakfast was very rich, wide choise-I liked that. Location is good, staff just average, someone can use ISIC discount. If you can choose, stay in Samesun, it's more lively, more fun...

Located right on Granville - The Entertainment street. Can be noisy at night if you get a street facing room. Rooms are quite small, big lockers, clean bathrooms and a free breakfast I never tried because it was served at impossible hours.
