The best time we had in Nam. Not a cultural experience, but one of the best backpackers I have stayed at, ever. The local staff kind of suck, but the western staff are amazing hospitable. If you are young and after a good time, MAKE SURE you do the pub crawl and the two night cast away. You won't regret it. Much love to our incredible tour guide, Adam.

Really excellent hostel-one of the best. Clean rooms, good beds, bed light, lockers, plenty of clean bathrooms, great bar and social area, great spot, everything. Would definitely recommend staying there. Only negative was Halong Bay Cruise, cruise was good and same value for money as elsewhere, but night activities were not just drinking, but drinking to get disgusting, as was demonstrated by one of the guides who could barely stand at 8pm and looked like he hadn't washed in the past month.

Absolutely amazing hostel. Obviously designed with the backpacker in mind. As advertised, it's a party hostel no ifs, ands or buts! Very helpful and attentive staff, clean, in a super location with a great vibe. If this is your first stay at a hostel it'll be nearly impossible to find as great a place anywhere else in SEA. Highly recommend.

A party backpackers in a good location. Hot water system wasn't that good though so I had a cold shower which made me quite displeased. It's cold in Hanoi in January in case you didn't know.

This is a great hostel! Exactly what you need if you're travelling alone. Very social, easy to meet people, nice bar downstairs. The free breakfast is one of the best I've come across and the snake village tour is not to be missed!!

A friendly hostelbwithnlots of facilities.ndfinitely one if you like to party and meet young, wide-eyed travellers. The alcohol fuelled Halong Bay trip was very enjoyable, if not a little chilly!

I had a good overall experience here. It has a chill and friendly backpacker vibe, although the food is slightly overpriced. Nice big lockers for your bags, fast wifi, and comfortable beds. The staff all speak perfect English as well. As other reviewers have noted, it's more of a party hostel so noise can be a bit of an issue at night if you want to have an early night. Otherwise, this hostel is really well run, definitely one of the best I've come across in SE Asia.

i thought it was a great hostel, but i also think it's worth supporting hostels run by locals, not the hostel chain with its own private beach in halong bay, etc.

A proper hostel Hanoi Backpackers is great for travelers who want a bit of atmosphere & to meet other people as it's very lively. We had a private room which was expensive compared to other hostels nearby but it was a lovely room, huge & comfy with a great bathroom. The weather was cold & so the room was freezing & had no heater & we had to ask for an extra blanket (which was happily provided when we asked). They do a really good breakfast & the staff are helpful.

Stay here if you are in Hanoi. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Super clean, comfortable beds, awesome bar. All around great hostel.

Quite a party hostel so if you want something peaceful and traditionally Vietnamese this isn't the place for you. The facilities and the staff were excellent though particularly the amount of common area and the size of the storage facilities under the bed. Would stay here, or in any of their other branches, again,
