The staff are beyond helpful. We were stuck on booking some things and they provided a load I useful information and even helped us get in contact with our next travel spot when we were in a bind. Can't recommend a better place at a better rate.

I had planned to stay at HBS for 2N and end up staying 5 N, Moon and Tam are just fantastic, a permanent smile! Things u should consider: - Location: Close to interest points but quiet enough to rest. - Quality: Great rooms (double and twin for 15 USD) - Tours: If u have time do the 3D/2N Halong Bay Tour for 100 USD (u'll do the un-touristy stuff on day 3). - Staff: Amazing, helpful, caring - Profile: Good for all (not a party hostel) - On the -side: Stairs/shower curtain/breakfast

This hotel is in the middle of the Old Quater. The rooms are very spacious and our room had a bath. It's clean and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. They can help you book tickets for trains or bus. Please check the price of the tickets first because I think they charge a big service fee.

We were only here for one night but it was wonderful. The staff, especially Mu (I think that's how you spell her name) was incredibly helpful, and she was always good for a chat. It was very clean, comfy, I highly recommend this place :)

We had a wonderful time here! The manager, Moon, did everything possible to please us, including booking tour and train tickets, allowing us to have an early check in with free breakfast, letting us shower and lending us free towels after check out, and giving us lots of useful information! They really look after you. The location is great, right in the old town with lots of nearby sites. Stay here!

Good value for money. GOOD: helpful staff, location in the old city centre, free wifi, very big and clean rooms with character, free tea and coffee all day, good breakfast, tour options available. PITTY: wifi on the computers downstairs didn't work properly, they use a very penetrant air refresher when they clean the rooms.

I mostly liked staying at this hotel however I did have two problems. The first was that the wifi signal was very poor. I reported this straightaway and was told the router would be changed or I would be moved. This didn't happen. Secondly, as I went to pay for my stay I was told they couldn't accept card payments so I had to get money out from an atm. This cost me extras in fees. I felt the hotel staff should have advised me that they couldn't accept cards earlier.

Really loved this place! Stayed in northern Vietnam for over a week and kept coming back to this hotel every time we got back to Hanoi. It is in a very central location so easy to walk to main attractions. Staff is great. They make you feel welcome and do anything to make your stay a pleasurable one. Rooms are more than decent sized, have great wifi reception and, most importantly, great beds.

The owner was really hepful and provided lots of information and advice about the local area (where to eat /drink for certain things and where the sites were on the map) as well as organising trips and tain tickets for us. Drinks and food were always offered when you came into the reception area by really friendly staff with good English skills.

Moon is great. Everything else is average. The room was bigger than expected though and had a good shower but no shower curtain.

We stayed there for two nights. Everything was perfect. They arranged us tickets for night train to Hue with no problem. We also went to Halong Bay for two days and it was fantastic. The best hostel in Hanoi! Damjan & Miha

Blue Sky was great. We stayed for 4 nights and would definitely go back if ever in Hanoi again. It is in a very central location so easy to walk to main attractions, endless places to eat, drink and take in the crazy Hanoi atmosphere. All staff make you feel welcome and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Moon is amazing. She is very sincere and informative and always there to help. It is a very clean, friendly hostel and the fruit, tea

WOW! What a great hotel. Miss Moon makes you feel as part of a family. Handy to everything in the Old Quarter and most tourist attractions. Rooms are large and clean. Overall, the best value for money on our 4 week Vietnam trip.

NO-FRILLS WITH A VERY WARM HEART. This place had just the right dose of what we were looking for in Vietnam: square in the grit of old Hanoi with a staff ready and willing to help us explore it. If you want to stay at a no-frills place with the a staff that will set you up with a bargain tour of Halong Bay and on-the-money tips for eating delicious street food, then book a room here.

We had an absolutely fantastic time. Moon, the receptionist, was stellar at not only remembering our names each time we arrived or departed but also attending to questions and making sure we had a wonderful time. We are so incredibly appreciative and only wish we could have stayed with you longer, thank you.
