The staff was so so so amazing! They were kind and helpful to the point that I didn't want to end my stay there. Booked our tour to Cat Ba island, prepared breakfast, assisted with an issue with Vietnam Airlines, arranged pick up to and from hotel and even MADE ME A BIRTHDAY CAKE which we celebrated together downstairs when me and my friends returned from the bars late at night. They went beyond their responsibilities and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Hanoi! Thank you!!

Great hostel with really helpful staff, they have a tendency to overbook and move people out to another hostel though.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hanoi Lucky Guest house. The location is brilliant, situated in the old quarter and only a short walk to the lake. We stopped for two nights and we was very pleased with the hostal and its facilities. Also the staff, Jack and Step were very helpfull and friendly and helped organise an open bus ticket. We organised the Halong Bay 3day/2night Cristina cruise which was excellent value for money and we had a great time. The service was brilliant. Highly recomend.

The staff is wonderfully nice-they helped me organize everything I needed for my one night stay. My room (a twin room) was clean and had extra pillows and blankets, but was a little on the small side and the bathroom was comically small. Still, if you are looking for a simple place in Hanoi with great staff, I'd definitely recommend this.

A simple place, rather basic, but quite comfy, with a small breakfast and a great, friendly staff. Excellent value.

One of the best guesthouses I staid in Vietnam. The service Peter, Jack and Step provide is outstanding. They take care of every detail when booking a tour. They drive you to the train station, go for a beer with you around the corner or simply solve issues with the stupid local taxi drivers who try to overcharge you ;-) Take a balcony room!

The best part of HaNoi is the Hanoi Lucky Guesthouse. Peter and his team are so helpful, with the customer service of a 5 star hotel. Their smiles greet you when you walk through the door and they're always asking you if you want another coffee/tea. If you have any travel arrangements they'll facilitate for you and make it so much easier, Jack and Step are fantastic. Step came to the train station at 4am to pick me up and never complained once! I would rhighly ecommend this guesthouse!

Everything about this hostel was great for the price except the noise. The streets are very loud and we slept very little because of it.

After having a terrifying taxi ride from the airport, I was relieved to land in this warming guesthouse. I stayed in a room with a beautiful balcony (request a balcony room if you can!). Mr. Peter was amazingly helpful and a real caregiver. I woke up and he made me breakfast, tea, showed me a map and helped me plan my week in Vietnam. As an American woman travelling solo--his help was much appreciated in planning tours, buses, taxis and trains. The showers are below average--handheld shower head

We had a fantastic stay here. We arrived the day after my birthday and the staff ran out to buy me a birthday cake (complete with candles) as soon as they found out! Location is central, we had a lovely double room with a big balcony overlooking the street, and the room was made up each day with fresh towels. There was no pressure to book anything through the hostel but we booked halong bay and bus tickets up to sapa through the hostel and both were great. Can't recommend this place enough!
