Great hostel in the middle of the Old Quarter with extremely friendly staff. Go Mina!!!! She's such a legend :) The only negative was that the hot water in our Twin Room with ensuite wasn't working so we only had cold showers :(

We had a great stay at Hanoi Old Town Hotel. Everybody is so friendly and helpful with information where to go for food, shopping or coffee. They even help you with negotiating for the best price. The rooms are very clean, fresh smelling linnen and if you wish the rooms will be cleaned every day. And you even receive a good breakfast with a choice of 5 European meals. Perfect value for money! Thank you for the great stay. Inge and Chris

Great location just a 5 minute walk from the lake in the centre of the old town, where the puppet theatre is located! Girl on reception was sooo nice and super helpful! We left to go to Halong bay and returned a couple of days later for one night, where she said because the hot water wasn't very good in such cold weather she would upgrade up to their sister hotel for free - just around the corner and wonderful! Hanoi was the first stop on our travels and they couldn't have been more helpful!

A fantastic hotel -not a hostel-, located in the heart of Hanoi and at a walking distance from the maiin attractions of the Vietnamese capital. Rooms are big and spacious, all is immaculate clean and the staff is very friendly and supportive. I stayed there eight nights, what was an important leg of my long trip around Asia and staying at the Old Town Hotel I was able to relax and enjoying Hanoi to the max. I would definately go for it!

The hotel is in a good location and is clean. I think they could probably include breakfast given the room rate like most hotels do these days. Staff are very helpful and speak excellent English. The only problem we had was that they sell tickets to the notorious Queens Cafe Bus company. A quick Google will show you all of the reviews and how dodgy they are. Overall a nice hotel but do not use the travel agency if booking a bus.

Dear, thank you so much for your feedback here. I would like to clarify some information that Queen bus and Hung Thanh bus are only 2 options for overnight bus to Sapa, other options is day bus that you didn't have time to travel with and night train that will be more expensive at least 3 times. We hope that more bus companies will be run so we have more options to give you to serve you better next time. Thank you!

The entire staff here is great. They helped us make the most out of our time in Hanoi. Sadly we only had two days in Hanoi but they helped us prioritize the sights and helped us book a day trip to Halong Bay. They even helped us arrange a car service to and from the airport(does cost extra but worth it). The hotel itself is a nice place right in all the action, you can walk to all the attractions in the city. I'd definitely stay here again. Thanks Mina and team for a great stay!

Everything about the stay was enjoyable and the staff was very friendly. They told us their favorite locations that were away from the tourist trap and helped us coordinate rides to and from the airport. I Definitely recommend staying at this hostel.

Great location in old quarter of Hanoi, nice clean and comfortable rooms, hot shower and good selection of breakfast. The best thing about this hotel is Meena on reception who welcomed us and was amazing at offering us advice on where to eat and what to do. Meena helped us book a cooking lesson and organised our boat trip to Ha Long Bay, both of which were absolutely brilliant. This isn't a party place but only a 5 minute walk to the bars, perfect.

We ended up staying here longer than we planned. Staff were awesome and extremely helpful. Booked tours of sapa and halong bay through them too which were everything they said they would be. Comfy rooms, 0 issues and best location ever. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and hope to return very soon! If I come back to Hanoi I wouldn't bother looking for anywhere else! The best location, the most amazing staff and a host of tours on offer to book that are completely hassle free :-)

One of the best hostels we've stayed on. Sam and the rest of the staff were so helpful, friendly and ultimately amazing. Sam helped get us sorted with some great tours and well as great recommendations for onward travel. She even organized breakfast for us in between a overnight train/bus when we had limited amounts of time! The hostel was great anyways with clean spacious rooms and a nice included breakfast. I wish all hostels were more like this one. Would stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks Sam

This hotel is excellent - the rooms are comfortable and clean, the complimentary breakfast tastes great, and, above all, every member of the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. It's in a great location too!

Really great staff and atmosphere. Sam helped us book our onwards train to hue with a free transfer! We had an early train from sapa to Hanoi and She managed to allow us to check in early into our room which was amazing. The beds where slightly hard but similar to other places.

The hotel is in the heart of the old and best area of the city and it's clean, but what's unique is the STAFF. Sam, Anna, Mina and the others have been honest, kind and so helpful since the first email exchange. They helped us organized the trip to halong bay and sapa, they solved our visa issue and they welcomed us back everytime they saw us. They made our Staying in Hanoi really special.

A pleasant hostel in the middle of the Hanoi Old Town Unfortunately the amount of rubbish on the streets outside was very disturbing. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the rooms were clean and in good condition. The showers were very difficult to operate as both the hot and cold taps were served by the one pipe from the hot water service. However, if you follow the instructions - turn on the hot water service for 15 mins, then turn off just prior to showering - then it was OK.
