Heyuan International Youth Hostel Reviews

Overall is okay but if I can recommend something it is about cleanliness, facilities, and kindness of staff. The dorm's floor is not clear since we could use shoes in the room. The toilet is easily blocked if we throw the tissue there. Facilities is below my expectation. There is no free kitchen for guests to wash dish. It's better to have it in case the guests want to drink coffee/tea by himself. The staff is not really friendly and helpful in providing tourist information.

Impossible to find unless you read Chinese characters. I stayed here one night to take the HSK exam at Beijing Normal University and it was within a 10 minute walk to the testing room.

Great Hostel, friendly people, great rooms comfortable environment. A bit far from all the sights in Beijing BUT very close to an accessible and useful subway line! Probably one of the better hostels in Beijing in my opinion.

I met lot of great guys there and the staff is awesome. The location is quite hard to find the first time but when you know where is it is fine.

Me and my friend had a great time in Heyuan Youth International Hostel. The staff is great, they're very kind and servant. It's clean, they cleaned our room every day. The room had enough light, it was warm and cozy. Sending our regards to them!

It was a little difficult to find and in some dark little scary steet off the main road. The metro was maybe 15 minutes away (im a comfortable walker...so maybe slower) I only stayed for one night as I only came to take a HSK test at the Shifan Daxue... For that purpose it was a good choice. My room was clean and the hostel had a great charm itself. During my time in China i already stayed in Beijing three times in three different hostels, and this was the best....not considering the location.

The Heyuan is a great little hostel that incorporates traditional architecture into its building style. It's undergone several months of renovations which has thankfully been finished. The rooms are clean and comfortably warm esp. during the winter months. However, one of the things that's been a continual disappointment is that the water pressure in its showers is not good and the water temperature varies from scolding hot to freezing cold! Despite this I'd still recommend this hostel.

I will always recommend staying in Heyuan. Although it was a bit cold in winter, in the summer it is the nicest place to hang out. Staff is amazing and the place is simply beautiful!

I initially booked a double bed room online and when we arrived they front desk staff informed us that the room wasn't available! However the staff were great and put us in a larger family style room which turned out to be perfect. The room was large, clean and had beautiful warm heating which was welcome as it was absolutely freezing outside. My only complaint was that the hot water pressure in the shower was very low. Despite this I highly recommend this hostel to other travellers.
