We really enjoyed our time at Uncle Residence.. The staff and Uncle are friendly and helpful. Room was clean and convenient. All in all we satisfied with our stay in Uncle Residence.

Overall a solid budget accommodation in a great location. Right in Hongdae, but across the main street on the quieter side which was nice. A little difficult to find at first and when we arrived, we were moved to a different location (they own a bunch of different places in the area). We were put up in an apartment style room separate from the hostel. It was basic, but had what we needed. A bit dirty and run down, but we weren't expecting much. Not bad considering price and location.

Love this hostel. Nice place to stay for couple days, nice price, n nice staff dan high recommended.

Very nice hostel to stay at. The good: Very clean, secure, and quiet when we stayed. 5-10 minute walking distance from the subway. The staff is very friendly and is interested in conversation. The bad: If you are looking to meet people at the hostel, this may not be the best option. We only ran into 1 other person the entire stay at the hostel and the common room is small. Also, the hostel is on the 4th floor with no elevator.

Great on a budget.

It's pricey, but if you stay in Seoul, specifically Hongdae, you don't have the option of a cheap guesthouse with great service. The guy that runs it is very cheerful and eager to please. Rooms are tiny, but if you're staying in a hostel, you're probably not looking for room service. It's less than ten minutes from the Hongkik stop. Good place, just expensive.

Loved this hostel, by far one of the best I have stayed in. Clean rooms with excellent facilities, very reasonably priced. And, 'Uncle' is such a nice person! Really helpful. Enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back.

We really had a great time in the Hostel. The staff even helped us bring our BIG luggages (5 Big luggages plus 2 small ones) up to our Hostel. He also helped us find a big taxi to bring us back to the airport. He was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back to Korea and will stay to Uncle Kims again.
