Worst value for a hostel I've ever stayed in. Broken facilities, unreliable WIFI, misrepresented "free breakfast", heating disabled, ambivalent staff, etc. Hopefully there isn't ever a fire at night, as they lock all the doors and provide no emergency exits. All this at a premium price.

For a last minute reservation in May during holidays, it was a very good price (60€ per person per night for a double bedroom with private bedrooms) and a really excellent location. The staff was ok. Shame there is no internet access though. For this price and this location, I couldn't expect more so it is globally a good deal.

The hotel Astoria is in a good location, very close to st. Marc's square... Everything is pretty near by in Venice though. The staff is reliable, they always answered the phone and were present, not the most pleasant though. We had a private double room with a private bathroom and aside from the sheets, everything was rather below par on the basis of cleanliness. For the price I think it could've been better, but it was one of the cheapest options in Venice. I'd give it a C-.

It is a rundown hotel in which they added extra beds in the rooms to fit more people. Ours actually had the headboard of the double bed the room used to have. The location is great specially if you want to experience San Marco by night and not get lost on your way back. Just a place to sleep. The staff was very nice particulary the afternoon front desk manager.

The staff were very helpful both with sightseeing in Venice and with our room. I made the mistake of booking the next night instead of the night we showed up and as they still had room they gave us a double room and let us have it for two nights at the price of the 4 bed room. They were friendly, courteous, and went out of their way to help (even helping me check in for my flight the next day!). If I go to Venice again, I will return there.

Rather average hostel. The location can't be beat though, right off Saint Marc Square. They don't have lockers which seemed odd and they also have a curfew which can be rather inconvenient since you must be inside during those hours since they lock the doors to the hostel.

Great location and good value. The 5€ breakfast was a major bargain!! Only complaint was the lack of security (only 1 key for the whole dorm room, no luggage lockers). The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

everything is perfect, the staff particularly kind but there is no facility at all to cook or even to have a cup of hot water.

Hello !! we were welcomed by a nice guy, we appreciated his good behaviour Breakfast was really fine, However, we arrived late, from the airport and it's at least 30-min walk from the main coach station Well located near Piazza San Marco btw ;-)

The Hotel is very central for the touristic places , but the common shower didn't work well , so hot or so cold. The heater was working very good in the rooms and in the bathroom. The breakfast is not including you have to pay 5€ for continental breakfast.
