This place is perfect for anyone coming to Florence and looking for a nice place on a budget. Everything is very clean and all rooms were cleaned daily. The bed was comfortable, bathroom spacious and kitchen nicely stocked for breakfast. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

We thought many of the reviews of this hostel were unfair - it was clean, very nice staff and very close to the station. Not on the main island of Venice but only 10 mins away by train. It's in a suburb called mestre, mainly hotels. There's a good restaurant they recommended down the road

Hotel is very good located - near to railway station Mestre V., from which you can go to the centre of Venice. Staff there is very nice and helpful, rooms are clean and simply furnished. Near to the reception you can buy water and some basic items. One weakness - TV's cable was to short to put in to power point ;) but it isn't necessary - in the end you spend you're whole time in Venice so this place is very good for these money.

The staff here was rude and super creepy (at least towards a girl alone). Hotel seems clean enough but I was only there a night. I arrived late at night and wanted to inform my bf that I had arrived in a new city- which I'm sure most people do. BUT, the guy working said the "it's not possible" to use the internet at night. They DO have internet. But, if you arrive at night they won't give you the password to use it. There is NO good reason for this.

The worst service I've ever had, the staff is so rude, we couldn't even find the place as they are not located at Venice, they are located outside.

The rooms and especially the bathrooms need to be cleaner. Some of the paint was chipping. A generally crumby atmosphere there. The neighborhood isn't so nice either but that doesn't really matter because I'm sure you're taking the train in to venice everyday and the train is super close (as is the shuttle to the airport). It's this best price your going to find I think so I would stay there again.

This hotel was a fair value for the money and location. It was fantastic to be walking distance to the train station (making getting into Venice easy) and there is a good grocery store near the hotel. It was also nice to have 24 hour security at the front desk. Unfortunately the room was a bit dirty and run down and the hotel staff were not always helpful (i.e. no map of Venice). If given the choice to re-do, we would spend the money to stay in Venice.

Hotel GIovannina is really a hostel average, they offer internet wifi like advantage, and when we was there wasn't working becouse it was turn off at night. You need it in time to be at hostel not?next day was so poor the signal, people was trying to catch it sitting close to reception. Stuff wasnt kind, next day 10 minutes after of check out time they was calling us in rude way. The room have a small tv and doesnt work, You can turn on but no signal. No bar or café that they say.

I hate when in Italy they apply the turistic tax after the total price offered by hostel world. I prefered more transparency, why they don't show the total price in the website? (or at least they make me know I am going to pay more?).

Arrived and the room had a funny smell, there was a pair of lacy underwear on the bedside table. :\ However, the staff was amazing, super helpful and very personable. Atmosphere was nonetheless kind of austere and I wish I could give a better cleanliness score - everything else was fine !!! Expensive- perhaps because we stayed on Easter weekend.

Awful staff not helpful at all, the shower doesn't work and the sink was clogged , the wifi connection was very unstable and only reachable on the lobby, the cleanliness was awful my friend was woke up by a cockroach and we found 3 more on the floor very disgusting experience but you get what you pay.

Very good location, staffs are friendly, room was clean. But only one key for the room and no safe box, no internet in room. Price is reasonable.
