Welcome to King's Joy Hostel, offering premier standards for budget prices plus the best location – just a short walk south of Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City in the heart of Beijing.
From here you will be in the perfect location to explore the historic and modern city and to explore the local area’s Hutong alleyways, as well as the famous Da Zha Lan market street and the recently pedestrianised and beautiful Qianmen Street leading directly to the square.
Family rooms are available and we have 24hr hot water and air conditioning, plus reading lights at the beds.
Guest can relaxed in our TV lounge and watch cable and satellite TV, or go to the games area on the top floor for table football and the pool table.
From our spacious top-floor bar you will have a spectacular view over the area, perfect for relaxing after a long day or just chilling out with friends and other guests while appreciating the fantastic panorama.
Our spacious and modern building features traditional décor to provide the atmosphere of both old-style Beijing whilst maintaining all the facilities you would expect from a modern establishment. You only have to step outside to be right in the heart of the city’s premiere culture-zone, thus providing the best of both worlds.
Our in-house restaurant serves both eastern and western dishes all for competitive prices, whilst outside you can shop for the latest fashions as well as pick up all the tourist souvenirs you could wish for.
Our services include laundry, ironing board and irons, bicycle rental, a coffee bar and a car park.
We have 24hr security, secure key-card access, safety deposit boxes, luggage storage, travel and tours information, a ticket reservation centre, telephone and fax facilities, a currency exchange, a postal service, an in-house mini-shop, car hire, airport pick-up, a business centre and a meeting room for up to 30 people.
A short walk will also take you to Liu Li Chang Cultural Street, famous for its traditional artwork and architecture, as well as local museums, tea-houses, bars plus local restaurants and street food.
The close subway station at Qianmen serves as a transport hub to reach the capital’s most famous destinations both conveniently and cheaply.

King's Joy International Hostel says
More like a hotel than a hostel, we give great service to every customer who stays with us. The location is ideal, being right next to Qianmen subway station. It's only a 10 minute walk to Tian'anmen Square, and the Forbidden City, and a 20 minute walk to the Temple of Heaven. These are some of the city's key attractions so we are ideally located to visit them. Personally, I think the best part to the hostel is the big rooftop bar which has great views, and even a pool table, football table and other games available. Our main age group are young to middle aged, and we cater for those with disabilities. We have a chair lift and disabled rooms.

The hostel is located at the convenient location and has a large visible sign that is hard to miss. It is not at the alley like some of the other hostel. There are convenient shops around the areas along with fast food like mac and kfc.

Latest Review
Not a hostel.... Just a large hotel that they put extra beds in some rooms to turn them into dorms. Walking into the fancy entrance with a big backpack was uncomfortable. The saving grace is a great location down the road from the forbidden city and the square, but no social atmosphere and the top floor restaurant and bar is expensive. Internet and wifi can only be accessed in the bar and Internet room. Stay here for one night to see the sights then go somewhere else.
