Fantastic breakfast buffet and really good location.

Staff really helpful if there is any problem at all. Room super clean. It is located in Hanoi Old Quarter which is super crowded and busy with life so expect a little noise coming from there. The location is super amazing though, you are right beside everything you could look for- tons of food, local souvenir& clothes, market of every kind. Really enjoyed our stay!!

Amazing breakfast (really!), comfortable bed, nice location. Shower was cold after a while - when you are in a dorm you gotta be the first to use it, otherwise no hot shower.

Staff at front desk was rather unfriendly- not welcoming at all. Kitchen staff at breakfast and housekeeping were lovely. though. Great location, centre old quarter. Good buffet breakfast No hang out area- the "lounge" on the 2nd floor is pretty shabby. Wifi also was sketchy

Nice hostel. Not a very great atmosphere. Dorms are ok, bathroom was not really clean. Breakfast is good! Staff is ok, overpriced me with the bus ticket by a lot. So dont book anything here!

Not what I was expecting as backpackers and dorm rooms to me means a communal feel, sharing a room with new people and somebody vomiting in the hallway. May deville is a hotel, not a hostel, the staff are pretty friendly, the rooms comfortable and clean and a very interesting buffet breakfast which is complimentry. Fantastic location.

Spend two nights in the 6bed dorm. Clean but not very spacious room with own locker! Check out the roof top - amazing! Very good breakfast and laundry was really quick! Location is perfect, right in the middle of the old quarter but still quiet! .would stay there again and recommend to a friend!

May De Ville Hostel is in a narrow alley. It is pretty hard for me to find the hostel, the address is 24 Tai Hien but it was a clothes/souvenirs shop. You can hear the noisy from the outside, overall the location is quite convenient. Can't deny that May De Ville Hotel looks good but not the hostel, the dorm room and toilet is freaking small, and the toilet stink! I hope the management can improve on the quality of staying.

Abit too much of a hotel atmosphere for us. But they were really helpful with booking trips and buses.

Nice location and friendly staff. Clean but tight dorm room. Not really a place to meet people, and there is no movieroom.... Decent breakfeast buffet, but the view from the restaurant is amazing, good way to start the morning. If you want good value for money and a clean room come here, but dont expect a party hostel.

The hostel was nice. No problem with the narrow rooms - but 25000 to rent a towel is much - when you get it for free on every other Hostel, also on the cheaper hostels. One more thing is that my laundry was not entirely clean. My panties were not entirely clean, and that's poor service. I did not have the time to send it in one more time, so nothing to do about it I'm afraid.

Clean hostel, friendly staff and great location and value for money. Maybe a better variety for breakfast but very good overall.

Quite expensive for what you get. Rooms are very narrow so hard to move around when there is 6 people in there and all sharing 1 bathroom. Breakfast is a buffet that isn't that great and the food just seems as its reheated. Good location for street food and cheap beer as 20m from the hostel is the old quarter district where all backpackers and locals drink. Bed was comfortable enough and showers were hot.

It was a nice hostel but it wasn't what we paided for. It was supposed to have a cinema room, dart board, lounge with dvd and a pool table, but none of those things existed at the hostel. So the description of the hostel was incorrect. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was fine.

Room 402 was dirty, as was the bathroom, the beds contain bedbugs we brought in our luggage in France ... The long room is anything but convenient. We regret to have chosen this hotel and would not recommend it.

sadly, the wifi in my room only worked on the first night. i had terrible connection for the rest of my stay. water at night was either gone or a trickle. lift should have gone up to the 10th floor where they serve breakfast. i didn't know this and i have a bad knee. so it was quite painful and bothersome for me to have breakfast.

Location=amazing. Big-size lockers in the dorm room. 6-bed dorm room is very NARROW and people are staying one upon the other. As everywhere in Hanoi, they make their best to ripf you off with a touring office just next to the reception and with every other "service" they "offer" you. BEWARE of airport taxi-service: 1st price in the street in 12$, hostel's 1st price about 18$ and then "offer" to 15$ while you can just 10-min walk to the bus station (they say it's 20min) to 0,5$ public bus 17!

Really nice hostel, such a pleasure to stay in when compared with party hostels in Hanoi I stayed in. However if your aim is to go drinking and/or meet people this is more like a hotel set up and shouldn't be your first choice.
