It's a very nice place, big and clean rooms, good breakfast, nice location, just take into account it's more a hotel not hostel, if you're looking for a good place but not party, this is for you.

this place is fancy. Things I loved: elevator, common room with tv/DVD and pool table, comp breakfast, location. Things I didn't love: they're pushy about tours only if you mention it and they overcharge for not great train rides to sapa, they rushed me out of there only to sit and wait at the train station, consistently ran out of toilet paper, not enough electrical outlets.

Very helpful staff; hostel well located with an excellent breakfast. I stayed in a private room with my own bathroom which was really nice as if I were in a 3 or 4 star hotel

As my very first hostel in Hanoi, I was so pleased and would recommend it to anyone! IClean bed and Amazing location: in the heart of Hanoi Old Quarter, and nice staff. The bathroom space is too tight, but it's not a problem at all. Two concerns were no lock in the chest. You have to bring/prepare the lock yourself. Another is no secure door in the bathroom, especially in the mix dorm.

This is an exceptional hostel. It leans more towards the side of hotel for the price of a hostel which was exceptional. The facilities are excellent and the private rooms are huge. Their games room is a great place to unwind with a game of pool or a film, all at no extra charge. It's within walking distance of everything and is always bustling with backpackers looking to share a story or a beer.

We were quite happy about the hotel, we got a nice room with good breakfast and the location was good aswell. Overall good value for not much money. However, we were not happy with the hotel`s booking service. They overcharged us with the halong bay tour and with the booking of our train tickets. We wouldn`t recommend it to anybody.

One of the best Hostels I have stayed at in Asia. The owner of the hostel was there everyday to greet and help you with anything you needed. His english along with reception was excellent. There is also a free breakfast buffet which was awesome (eggs, rise, breads, fruit, etc,). Room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Also was able to arrange trains and trips to sapa and ha long bay with the hostel as well. For your money, you get above and beyond the expectations.

If you go to Hanoi, you must stay here. Yes, it doesn't really have a party vibe to it whatsoever. But for the price paid, you get some amazing-quality accommodation. The bedsheets alone were incredible (which does sound stupid until you sleep in them yourself!). Great movie room stacked with movies and a pool table to boot.

I am so sad to say we could only stay at the May De Ville Backpackers Hostel, but when I'm back in August for a week this is the only place I'll stay! This place is HUGE and has such a great vibe. The employees are friendly and super helpful, and rooms are clean and have some of the nicest mattresses/pillows/comforters of any hostel I've ever stayed in. The bathrooms and clean and private and the rooms have tons of secure storage space for your stuff. You can arrange trips, tours, pub crawls, et

Great place to stay. Located right in the middle of the old quarter walking distance to everything. Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean and large rooms and a good chill out area with tv and pool table.

The hotel was very good. Price is cheaper, but breakfast was great. Better than other hotels in the same price.

Located down a little alleyway that can be easily missed, especially at night. Comfortable beds in the dorm but the ensuite bathroom wasn't great - Could've been cleaner and no lock on the door. Very nice staff and a pretty good breakfast.
