instead of using electric dryers, they should use gas dryers. one of the washing machines wasn't working. they should let people use the washing machines 24 hours

It is a good location, but the staff is not very customer friendly. There was one girl that was nice when I saw her working. The others were short, did not want to be bothered and the young man was very rude. I found asking the other chinese guests for help was easier. You had to ask for toilet paper, etc While in the kitchen area, one of the older male owners used the dish sponge to clean the garbage can lid n put the sponge back in the sink for guests to use. Very unsanitary, disgusting.

Excellent hostel for somebody who need a quick day tour in shanghai. A location enable every tenant to explorer the mega-city or the beauty of aged but tasty shanghai style..

Very cold in my room even with heating on full blast! Not enough lighting in the rooms and the toilets! May not recommend to future visitors.

everything was great. good water pressure and temperature, room was cleaned by staff every morning and afternoon, good location! i lived in a dorm room, and it's quite small. we didn't have much space in the room which was fine.. coz i never stayed in the room for long! haha~ i booked a mix room (which the only type they offer); however, they probably did it on purpose that putting only girls in my room (which was great)!! great value for the location and water pressure and temperature! =)

I usually stay here when I head into Shanghai. It's just off the Bund and a 2 minute walk to the subway. I'm not one for staying in and hanging out at the hostel, but it seems like a good place to lounge around and have a drink. The staff can be a little snippy though...

It was quite clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The people who stayed at the hostel were generally sociable and helpful as well. The rooms were quite small, especially for 4 people. But, for a hostel, it is probably expected. It has been a while since I stayed at a hostel. However, I would likely stay there again if the occasion arises. It is clean with good facilities.

Nice hostel, the stuff is very helpful....I guess it could be one of the best hostels in Suzhou during the summer, but during the winter it's too cold, cause shower and bathroom are just simply outside and it's freezing! P.S. Nice dog)

Big hostel, nicely decorated in quite possibly the best location in Shanghai and close to excellent public transportation. One of the cleanest and most well-run hostels around. Small point of criticism: lack of toiletpaper in the actual toilets. (Paper outside of toilets on big rolls) Beware of people staring at their laptop screens. Don't go for the hostel breakfast though, but ask them for the best places for (excellent!) Chinese breakfast, which is at least ten times as cheap..

everything were fine, especailly the location was perfect. the only thing that annoyed me was weak water power from the shower. maybe it was because my room were in the high floor (4th). they only clean your room when you ask (i stayed in the private room) the staff were mostly friendly- or at least did well for your request.i'm gonna use this again if i visit Shanghai!

Hostel is in a great location, just one block from Nanjing Road and a short walk to the Bund. Stayed in a 6 bed dorm. Wi-fi only worked in the lobby area of the first floor not in the dorm. Security person came by every night to check on the room. That did not prevent someone from taking a roommates bag during my stay. There is a 100 yuan deposit. Overall good option for backpackers trying to save money and be close to Shanghai's main attractions.

Great location right off the Nanjing Road Pedestrian area. Staff was very friendly. Space was a little cramped, but very clean. Kitchen is pretty nice and stocked with utensils for you to use.
