Still my hostel of choice while passing through Shanghai.
Pros: - location, location, location - a good western style breakfast (that felt like a brunch) for under 50 RMB Cons: - the staff was not very friendly - even though it looks like a new, trendy hostel, after a couple of days you realize it is not the cleanest (talking about mold in a lot of places) - you can hear your neighbors playing music at 2 am, and your other neighbors screaming in the corridor at 8 am. Not good if you are jet lagged - the internet is too slow - couldn't skype home
Good location and clean. Maybe not the friendliest place but still met some people so all good! It has everything you need.
The hostel is conveniently located near the subway station ,the People’s Square and other tourist attractions in the city and the room is comfortable.
This was the second time I have stayed at this hostel. The location right near Nanjing Road and the subway are the main draws for me. The room was very nice and the staff friendly. Would definitely recommend this hostel and would stay there next time I go to Shanghai.
Very close to the center of Shanghai, only 500m to the Bund. Great location.

Double room was really good value. Staff were friendly. Private rooms are on 2nd floor so a bit more road noise than the dorm that we stayed in on other nights which was on 5th floor. Acceptable internet and working aircon. Bathroom in dorm room was not very clean or well fabricated but at least it was only shared between six people.

Stayed in a private and have no complaints. The location is perfect. The staff was a little cold, but it was National Holiday and they were probably just busy.
Located in City centre and 5min walk to metro station, but 5th floor don't have lift access, need to walk from 4th floor.
The staff is very helpful. A girl named Tom was especially helpful for my many questions. The outdoor seating on the sidewalk is very nice. But it's very condensed and that's where all the smokers go making it difficult for me to breathe. It would be nice if there was some place to go outside without so much smoke - as some other hostels have rooftop seating areas which are very spacious.
The room and bathroom were a bit smelly, even after we opened all the windows in the room. Otherwise the hostel Was quite nice, the foyer area was well decorated. The hostel cooked nice, reasonably priced food on site and the location was amazing (if you want to be in the heart of shanghai shopping district and near the bund).
