Located a few blocks away from the exciting (chaotic) nightlife of Hongdae. It has something that almost no backpackers in Asia has- space! The house had a spacious bathroom, kitchen and open plan living room. Beds were pretty comfortable. Mr Kim is friendly and helpful although if you need help with Korean he doesn't speak it so don't try! It's clean, very close to a convenience store and you can come and go at any time. Mr Kim let me check out late at no extra charge. Great value for money.

friendly and convenient hostel for budget travellers. Not far from Subway station and near the Shopping street and convenient store. My friend who booked for dormitory upgraded to one private single bedroom. The private room is very good and comfortable with Free Wifi. Mr.Kim's Friends Guesthouse is the best choice to stay in Seoul and next time we want to stay here again.

We were told it was too busy and we would be over the road in a separate block of flats. The room was OK size with fridge and bathroom, but beds had no mattress covers and were only given a manky blanket and pillow. No sheets or duvets etc so bed was uncomfortable. We had been owed change from when we paid and when I went over to check out there was no staff to be found whatsoever. So we didnt get our money and no help to get to airport at all!Was very unhappy with no service given!

It was a good hostel, all around enjoyable and in a great neighborhood. Samuel, a member of the staff, was very helpful and friendly. It wasn't anything too special and the price was just a tad bit too high, but all in all its a safe and acceptable hostel.

Love the location, right in Hongdae. Directions were easy to follow from station. When I arrived at the hostel no one was there for checkin. Eventually someone came and showed me to my single room, which just a small apartment in a building across the street. The room was very dusty and dirty. The furniture and decor was old and cheap, not comfortable at all. Overall, horrible room for the price. If you want to meet others, a single room here is not a good choice. Better choices available

Really, really fantastic. Friendly staff create a share house vibe which made my stay in Seoul even better. Also close to the clubs and bars in Hongdae
