Great location is you come on night bus from Nha Trang, as it drops you pretty much across the road. Staff were helpful and could see that I was tired from my journey, so cleaned the room and let me check in early. They suggested places to go and how to get there and helped book tours if you want. The room was not the cleanest, but for the price I am not complaining. There was no hot water for my shower on my first night, so she called her brother to come and fix it straight away. Great service!

Fantastic staff, so helpful. Room was absolutely fine. In a great location as well. If you're not too scared of scooters you can pretty much walk to the major sights. Would recommend.

This is a family that works together so well, very friendly and helpful. There were some small ants in my room, and my bed squeaked alot but besides that, it was great. I would sugget some soap in the bathrooms (little bars of soap or liquid dispenser). The location was great. Overall, a pleasant stay...

This was an amazing stay. I had a flight that left the next morning at 3AM and they offered to hold my bags, let me shower, and continued to be just as hospitable as if I was paying another nights rent. A great hostel in a very busy, hectic city. They gave great recommendations and made Saigon very enjoyable!

We had a great stay and enjoyed the down to earth and friendly guests, but especially appreciated the well organized, informative and genuine staff. This is a place where you can balance the desire to meet new people but also have a good night's sleep. I would recommend Ngoc Thao to anyone looking for a suitable alternative to a party hostel and is looking for value and great staff.

Very clean hostel. Staff is very helpful for all your needs. The Wi-Fi was really good and I never had a problem connecting. Good atmosphere and I will stay there when in Saigon.

Great location right near sights, transport and restaurants. Amazing staff: friendly, helpful, able to assist booking of tours and transport. Rooms do vary a bit, one I stayed in had flimsy lockers and creaky beds, while the other had good strong lockers and sturdy bunks. I would recommend the 4 bed dorm.

The hostel is well situated. Upon arrival a map is given with all major tourist sites. The staff were all incredibly friendly and approachable, in particular, Thuey Van makes a unique effort to ensure that you enjoy your stay and are well informed re available tours, buses etc. I would definitely stay here again :) Cam on to all the staff!

Great little hostel, just down an alley from the main backpacker area of town. Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Just down the street from the best pho I have ever eaten!

Great hostel. My only gripe, and this was pretty important to me, is that there isn't really a common area. Or rather there is, but the family (kids, grandmother, baby) are always there watching TV, working, or even sleeping. This meant that travelers never hung out there. As a solo traveler I like to meet people to travel with and the common area is the best place to do it. I've never had problems meeting others except at this hostel.

Great hospitality and genuinely friendly (not in your face). They allowed us to check in quietly at 4am as our train got in early, and we paid half a night's rate. Nice social area and free use of computers. Free tea and coffee was a bonus..Located in a backpacker area with lots of cafes and tours shops nearby (try Delta or Sinh Tourist for Mekong tours). Beds are very comfy. Only negative is we think the beds were hosting bed bugs (4th floor dorm) - we noticed quite a few bites on our legs.

Owner Comment (Show)
We would like to thank you for your stay at our hostel. We always try to do our best to make you feel comfortable. So when you thought the beds were hosting bed bugs, why you did not tell us? If you had told us, we would have checked the beds. Anyway, thanks for your comment.

Everything was great at the hostel. great value for money. However a central area say a breakfast area for travellers to mingle would have been nice.
